WWE wrestler Wade Barrett says he's aware of rumors that he could face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 27, but it hasn't been proposed to him by WWE.

Barrett addressed the rumored match the end of an interview with Philadelphia radio host Brian Soscia promoting Sunday's Supershow. Soscia tried to slip in a quick sign-off that WWE fans can look forward to Barrett vs. Taker at WrestleMania, but Barrett quickly addressed the matter.

"That's not the case. I've had people Tweeting those rumors. I've certainly not heard that (from WWE). At the moment, certainly nothing has been organized," Barrett said, while also adding that he would certainly take the match if proposed.

The following are additional highlights of Barrett's interview with Mix 106.1 host Soscia, who led a solid, informed 20-minute discussion with Barrett available at MixPhiladelphia.com. Thanks to Torch reader Joey Odorisio.

-- When asked why the new Corre group is spelled with two r's, Barrett joked that Heath Slater had trouble registering the group's trademark.

"We sent Heath Slater to the place to register trademarks and Heath isn't the best at spelling. Then, we were set with Corre with two r's," Barrett deadpanned to avoid giving a straight answer on why WWE went with the spelling.

-- Barrett credited FCW trainer Dusty Rhodes for helping him develop his promo skills to become one of the best talkers in WWE. He also credited his background in sales for helping him develop his verbal presentation and ability to project his voice, which is already an asset.

"I've done a lot of work with Dusty Rhodes in the promo area," Barrett said. "I've also been very lucky with my voice that makes people pay attention."

Barrett also credited Al Snow for helping him develop his in-ring psychology adapting to the U.S. style of pro wrestling. This was when he was first signed to a WWE developmental contract in the mid-2000s and sent to OVW prior to being moved to FCW in Florida.

-- Barrett revealed that he and the other Rookies on the first season of NXT were apprehensive being on the show. Since WWE was vague on the concept prior to Season 1, he says the Rookies thought it would be like "Tough Enough" where they would live together and be filmed 24/7.

Barrett says they didn't want to be filmed like they were on a reality show and were relieved when they found out it would not be like "Tough Enough" and would have its own format.

-- Barrett complemented his NXT Season 1 Pro, Chris Jericho, for being a professional helping him on the show. Barrett noted Jericho did not need to be invested in the show because it was beneath him as a top star at the time.

"He was doing everything he could to make me look good and get over with that crowd when it had absolutely no benefit to him at the time," Barrett said.

-- Regarding Nexus's first night on Raw after NXT Season 1 when they trashed the ring, Barrett says they didn't anticipate how much it would resonate with the audience because they had all seen a ring torn down.

"We went through it that day exactly what we were going to do. We didn't realize the kind of impact it would have," he said. "We didn't appreciate how it would look to the fans seeing the ring torn down. We knew it would be big, but we didn't anticipate the reaction it would get."

Caldwell's Analysis: Beyond the visual of the ring being torn apart, it was at a time when WWE's product was stale after WrestleMania 26. The Moment also stood out coming at the end of one of the worst Raws of 2010 when the audience was looking for anything to get excited about.
