After nearly a month of speculation on WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross's professional future following the expiration of his WWE talent contract in April, Ross revealed tonight he will primarily be a talent scout for WWE.

Ross identified a number of items that have been added to his plate or will be added to his plate professionally in addition to the new role scouting talent at WWE's developmental territory in Florida.

"I have worked out what we believe to be a win/win, employee agreement with WWE and will remain with the company," Ross said in a blog on jrsbarbq.com.

"Going forward, I will be focusing on a variety of talent relations matters, essentially as a consultant, of which will not require weekly travel. I will be visiting FCW in Tampa on a regular basis to observe the development of the young men and women who, I hope, all want to headline WrestleMania some day."

Ross's complete list of announced current and future professional endeavors include:

-- WWE talent scouting for FCW.

-- There is potential for an on-air role with WWE outside of the standard TV and PPV rotation. "I will not be returning to weekly, WWE TV or their monthly PPV's. However, being involved with other WWE broadcast products is a possibility. A few opportunities have been discussed," Ross said.

-- There is an opportunity to pursue MMA broadcasting. "The new arrangement with WWE will allow me to explore broadcast options in other, non competitive areas such as MMA if I so choose," Ross said.

-- Ross has been offered a position to do freelance writing on "a major, national sports website" covering college football and MMA.

-- Ross will be doing public speaking beginning this summer. "Our public speaking facet is also in place and we are reviewing some potential bookings on that front beginning at summer's end," Ross said.

-- The autobiography is still in the works and Ross is aiming for 275-300 pages.
