Former WWE CEO Linda McMahon picked up good news on Wednesday when she passed Republican opponent Rob Simmons in the latest Connecticut Senate race poll.

However, the week started with negative publicity for a revelation that McMahon and husband Vince McMahon own a power boat in Florida called the "Sexy Bitch." As the news spread throughout the week, several local news agencies in Connecticut ran stories questioning the conservative values of a candidate with a vehicle name that seems to be below reproach.

The Day publication contacted Linda McMahon's campaign for an explanation. Naturally, a spokesman pointed the finger elsewhere at other boats docked in Boca Raton, Fla. with even worse names than the McMahon's.

The Day reports the follow up explanation from a spokesman was: "Because it was approved by the Coast Guard, it's not deemed to be over the line." The spokesman added that Vince McMahon named the boat.

Caldwell's Analysis: Linda's past - and association with Vince McMahon - continues to be an issue for her Senate campaign. Being married to Vince afforded her the opportunity to even be in this Senate race, but it's also a regular headache with Vince's quirks and tastes in humor that have regularly been featured on WWE TV through the years. Not to mention the issue of occupational health issues that McMahon has still not answered to other than pointing to the recent implementation of the Wellness Policy that doesn't account for a decade before 2006.
