-- WWE wrestler Bret Hart appeared on last night's edition of "The Hour" with George Stroumboulopoulos on CBC to promote WrestleMania 26 and talk about returning to WWE.

Hart offered many of the same points from his interviews on "Off the Record" and CTV's "Canada AM" last week, while detailing more of Vince McMahon's surprising reaction when he reached out to McMahon to make a WWE return. Hart talked more about not wanting to be viewed as a "tragic figure" and returning to WWE to put a band-aid on what happened at Survivor Series 1997.

"I approached them first about doing something. I talked to somebody else (besides Vince McMahon) who's head of TV production and I suggested some different things, and I didn't hear back from them for about six months, then they called me back out of nowhere," Hart said. "I think there was a surprise (from McMahon) at how much of a change of tune I had about everything."

At the end of the interview, Stroumboulopoulos asked Hart about whether he'll stick to the script or "have a moment" returning the favor from Survivor Series. "Always a professional," Hart said. The interview picks up at the 27:00 mark of the video linked here on CBC's The Hour.
