WWE announcer Jim Ross interestingly says he doesn't expect WWE to put him back on TV as a full-time announcer. Ross also says he doesn't anticipate going back on the road for the 51 weeks of required travel as a WWE TV announcer.

Ross responded to a fan question on jrsbarbq.com about the possibility of him being paired with Jerry Lawler again on Raw, which Ross shot down.

"I don't think that WWE is interested in putting me back on weekly TV and all the travel that comes along with it at this time," Ross said. "Would I love to work with King again? Certainly. Is this my call? Nope. Do I think that I will ever be paired with Lawler again on a regular basis? Highly unlikely."

Caldwell's Analysis: WWE has fallen in love with the three-man announce booth on PPVs, but I personally can't take one more PPV with that set-up, so I'll again argue Ross's value as a PPV-only announcer. He would only have to travel to 13 events per year (with two PPVs in 2010 being a quick jump to Texas from Oklahoma) and he would lend tremendous credibility to PPV broadcasts, which are heavy on in-ring action.
