WWE News: Matt Hardy talks Jeff Hardy in TNA, NXT, Daniel Bryan, Edge as a babyface (w/VIDEO)

WWE wrestler Matt Hardy appeared on KISW-FM's B.J. Shea Morning show on Tuesday in Seattle promoting this week's Smackdown TV taping. Hardy talked TNA, NXT, Daniel Bryan, and had a few interesting comments on Edge. Video of Hardy's appearance is below.
Hardy was asked about his brother, Jeff, now being in TNA and WWE's view of TNA trying to re-start the Monday Night Wars on March 8.
"We're brothers and that's never going to change," Hardy said. "WWE is just such a machine; such a monster and I think even Mr. McMahon would say this as well that competition is good for the workplace. I think it gives other guys who are wrestlers who maybe can't work here or aren't working gives them somewhere else to work. I think it's a good thing. I don't think WWE has to worry about TNA anytime soon. But, it's good. The more opportunities there are for guys to wrestle, the better."
Hardy also talked up the NXT show, saying it's part of the solution for there not being enough training facilities or wrestling territories to develop new talent before they join WWE's developmental territory.
"It's (NXT) a great way to introduce your new developmental talent because one thing we have a problem with in the whole wrestling industry now, considering WWE is such a huge juggernaut, is that there's not a lot of places to get skills, learn how to wrestle, become good entertainers, and come here eventually," Hardy said. "But, now by bringing them to TV and pairing them with someone who's already an established pro, you give them a rub and build stars for the future."
Hardy followed up by putting over the local star, Bryan Danielson, who had a good showing on Tuesday night's show near his hometown.
"I'm really happy for Daniel Bryan because I know he has worked for the last ten years across the world and he's an extremely hard worker. I respect his work ethic," Hardy said. "I'm glad he's in WWE to truly make some money because he's been beating up his body for a long time for a minimal amount. He's a good guy and I really wish the best for him."
Hardy also had interesting comments about Edge, as the conversation turned to his 2005 Internet feud after Edge (Adam Copeland) had a relationship Hardy's then-girlfriend, Lita (Amy Dumas). Hardy said he thinks Edge will never be a Rey Mysterio-type babyface and he'll always have a touch of the heel character that he played from 2005 to 2009.
"Since Edge has returned and he's kind of been a fan-favorite, my line is 'Edge-Matt Hardy is so 2005,'" he said before BJ brought up the memories to set up Hardy's next comments. "Edge is a character where even myself watching him, I can never put him in a category like Rey Mysterio and I don't think any of the viewers will view him like such. Edge as a fan favorite will always be an 'edgy type character,' but the deal is I think in the long run, he'll always go back to being Edge. That will always be his gig."
