-- Ring of Honor wrestler Colt Cabana talked about his comedy career, NXT, and his soon-to-be-released wrestling DVD documentary with Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan in WWE) in a new interview with IGN.com's Matt Fowler.

Cabana talked about using wrestling stories for comedy material and making light of his WWE run: "I don't know if I'm exorcising demons really, but I think I just find it very gratifying because I make the audience laugh. Because they enjoy my stories... Maybe they realize that I'm okay with my time in the WWE that it's okay to laugh at it and say 'let's move on from there.' I think that when people see that I'm not bitter about things that it's what makes me feel good."

Cabana said he enjoys the NXT format from WWE because it's different from the typical format they've presented. Cabana didn't say this, but perhaps it could be a future path back to WWE if the timing is right.

"They've been running the same program for eight or nine years and sending out the same feeling every week. And as great as they all are, you know, everyone's a star there and everyone's great, but it's just so formulaic. This was something completely different," Cabana said. "I was completely drawn in. It was something different. Thank you, WWE. I think they're on the right track."

Cabana also talked about his "Wrestling Road Diaries" DVD documentary he filmed with Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan in WWE) last year. Cabana said they expect to release it later this year. He also talked about how WWE has presented Danielson and talked about the Internet on the NXT show during the interview.

-- Daniel Bryan posted a new blog on WWE Universe tonight talking about the first two weeks on WWE TV, his humble beginnings in Washington, and Michael Cole's produced anti-independent wrestler comments on NXT thus far.

"I've been able to perform all over the world, and, despite what Michael Cole may try to tell you, in front of some pretty awesome crowds, including the over 50,000 people that packed the Tokyo Dome the several times I was there," Bryan said.

Bryan said he's looking forward to WWE taping TV in Seattle, Wash. next week within driving range of his hometown.

"I have no doubt The Miz will try to teach me his version of respect this Tuesday in front of my friends and family. So may Chris Jericho, or any of the other WWE Pros," Bryan said. "My ribs are still pretty banged up but if they want to 'humble' me, I welcome them to try. I love the Pacific Northwest and I’m amped to be performing there this week."
