Former WWE CEO Linda McMahon defended her potential $50 million campaign to run for Senator in Connecticut by firmly declaring it's her money and she's going to spend it as she sees fit during an appearance on ABC's "The View" this morning.

"This is money I've earned, so this is the investment I'm willing to make," McMahon said sternly after presenting her simplistic story on growing WWE from "nothing to something" with WWE CEO Vince McMahon.

McMahon was booked for the show as she tries to piggyback the surprise victory by Senator Scott Brown in Massachusetts earlier this week by suggesting if Brown can overcome a huge deficit against a Democratic Senator, then she can as well.

"The View" hosts did not bring up the means for McMahon earning millions of dollars for her Senate campaign "investment" and the potential controversies related to WWE's history of programming and occupational health issues that have affected numerous pro wrestlers who have come through WWE.

The show did feature several clips of McMahon in action on WWE TV, including the infamous clip of McMahon kicking Jim Ross between the legs, the storyline feud with her daughter, Stephanie McMahon, and taking a Tombstone Piledriver from Kane.

The clips were introduced to ask McMahon whether she can be taken seriously in the Senate race and whether voters should take her seriously running for political office.

"I think if you're looking at this, you can see some bad acting," McMahon said with a sheepish smile to show she doesn't take herself too seriously. "I know where my place is and it's in the board room. It's just fun. It's acting."

McMahon also touched on some political issues in response to questions from "The View" panel. She described herself as a "socially moderate" Republican. She said she's Pro-Choice and she believes marriage is between a man and a woman, but it's a state issue, not a federal issue.

McMahon was booked for the final segment of the hour-long show and followed actress Julie Andrews, who is in the "Tooth Fairy" movie with "The Rock" Dwayne Johnson that comes out tomorrow.

During the show intro, the producers included WWE clips with Linda McMahon, including the Tombstone from Kane and kicking Ross between the legs. During McMahon's segment at the end of the show, host Barbara Walters simply referred to Ross as "a guy."
