WWE Hall of Famer "Superstar" Billy Graham is garnering publicity in Connecticut for attacking former WWE CEO Linda McMahon's Senate campaign by calling McMahon a hypocrite. Graham blames McMahon for being part of a "WWE machine" preventing wrestlers from receiving health benefits while promoting a TV product with "sex and violence."

Graham says he's going to travel around the state of Connecticut with t-shirts calling McMahon a "scam" for trying to distance herself from WWE after announcing her campaign run.

Graham was interviewed by the Hartford Courant, which has been covering the Senate race leading to the 2010 election season. Graham said, "Linda McMahon's hands are as bloody as her husband's (WWE CEO Vince McMahon) because she is aware of every move in the ring."

Graham insists WWE changed to a PG-TV, family-friendly product to help McMahon's Senate campaign. He pointed to WWE stopping blood usage on TV.

"She has had no problem with grown men — myself included — cutting their head with a razor blade. All of a sudden, why aren't these guys bleeding anymore? Because Linda is running for the Senate," he claimed.

McMahon's campaign spokesman discredited Graham, saying "that rhetoric is so over the top and so outrageous that it's not credible and not believable."

WWE discredited Graham by saying he's bitter when he's not on the WWE payroll. Graham was released from his "personal services" contract this summer.

"Clearly, Superstar Billy Graham has a pattern of making false statements about WWE and Vince McMahon when he's no longer on WWE's payroll," a WWE spokesman said.

In the interview, Graham responded to anticipated criticism of his attacks on McMahon and WWE.

"I am disgruntled," he said with a raised voice. "I am bitter. I am mad at Vince McMahon for not having health care. Absolutely print that. Absolutely, I'm bitter to the core."
