Hardy News: Update on Jeff Hardy's legal standing after yesterday's scheduled court appearance Nov 5, 2009 - 1:13:22 PM
Former WWE champion Jeff Hardy's probable cause hearing has been rescheduled to December 2, reports the Fayetteville (N.C.) Observer. Hardy was scheduled for court yesterday, but he did not attend.
"Hardy was represented by his Pinehurst lawyer, Jim Van Camp," reports the Observer. "During a recess, Van Camp said Hardy had planned to attend but they had not received a report from the drug lab."
The report from the drug lab is vital to Hardy's legal standing. The probable cause hearing now scheduled for Dec. 2 will determine whether there is enough evidence against Hardy to proceed to a trial.
If there is not enough evidence against Hardy at the probable cause hearing, the judge could drop the charges against Hardy altogether.
Hardy is faced with six different felony and misdemeanor drug-related charges after police arrested him and seized drugs in his house during a planned raid on September 11, just two weeks after Hardy left WWE.
