Tonight's WWE Raw guest host Floyd Mayweather was mainly involved in a continuation of his feud against The Big Show from 2008 where Mayweather beat Show at WrestleMania 24 in a street fight.

WWE picked up where they left off by having Raw babyfaces MVP and Mark Henry win a non-title match over Unified tag champions Big Show and Chris Jericho with Mayweather's help. MVP & Henry's scripted victory earned them a tag title match at the Breaking Point PPV on September 13.

Mayweather appeared on-camera 50 minutes into the show flanked by his entourage of "associates," who were all wearing t-shirts promoting Mayweather's boxing match on Sept. 19 in Las Vegas, the cite of tonight's Raw.

Mayweather exchanged words with Big Show and Jericho, leading to the non-title tag match won by MVP and Mark Henry. Mayweather helped MVP secure the pin over Jericho by handing him a piece of his jewelry to use as a weapon behind the ref's back.

Later in the show, Mayweather was shown warming up Vince McMahon for the six-man tag team main event. Carlito barged into McMahon's "office" and called Mayweather a lousy guest host for not booking him on the show. Carlito was subsequently punched out by McMahon on accident for his troubles.

The storyline at the top of the show was that Mayweather had not arrived in the building yet, which apparently gave Triple H control to book matches.

After the Raw show started with a 23-minute segment focused on DX members Shawn Michaels and Triple H throwing WWE chairman Vince McMahon a long, drawn-out birthday bash, Legacy interrupted and attacked DX. This led to Hunter making a decision to book a six-man tag match for the TV main event with DX and McMahon vs. Randy Orton's Legacy group.
