WWE Smackdown wrestler Kane says WWE is in a transitional period with new stars and they'll need time to "take over" the top spots in the company. Kane, as one of the most-tenured WWE wrestlers on the roster, says he has his eye on a few stars on the Smackdown brand.

"Dolph (Ziggler), I think, is doing really well. I was watching Ezekiel Jackson on the live events and he's going to be a player soon," Kane said on the U.K. Sun's WrestleCast podcast this week. "John Morrison - he had an unbelievable match against Jeff Hardy. Those guys are just in the process. We're in a bit of a transitional period right now."

Kane has been with the company for 12 years and says he's seen many wrestlers with the wrong attitude in WWE, which has led to their departure from the company. In the interview, he repeated that his longevity with WWE can be attributed to having a team attitude.

"The guys that come in and think it's all about them will come in and find out it's not about them. Even a guy like John Cena 'works for the company.' He still does what's best for the company," Kane said. "I know when I help someone else get over, what's going to happen is that guy is going to be elevated and down the line, he's going to work with me and we're going to draw money. I think, like everyone else, I didn't have that attitude when I first started, but I learned quickly."

Kane has worked with Rey Mysterio several times the past few years and says he prefers working with smaller wrestlers in the ring. He enjoyed working with Sean Waltman (X-Pac) as a tag team and he enjoyed the recent programs with Rey.

"I like working with the smaller guys. The contrast makes it interesting for people," Kane said. "I think it's a more enjoyable story for folks. I've just always been into the big guy vs. little guy match-ups."

At Summerslam, though, Kane is expected to face Great Khali in the antithesis to a little man vs. small man match-up. Although WWE hasn't confirmed the match will be taking place, Kane talked about the match as it's going to happen.

"It'll be different because he's so much bigger than him. It's a challenge, but I get to do things that I normally don't do. I may consult with Rey Mysterio and do the 619," Kane said jokingly. "You won't see me back in WWE again, though."

Caldwell's Analysis: We'll have another part on this interview, as Kane touched on a number of other subjects from his career. Very enjoyable interview where Kane, as Glen Jacobs, shared many insights into the business and the history of his character.
