I was at the Night of Champions pay-per-view in Philadelphia. Before the show, I noticed the crew strengthening the announce tables for the triple threat match later. The crowd was mostly full, but they were dead most of the night, and Jeff Hardy got the most cheers. The most boos belonged to Cena, Orton, or the video of George W. Bush on one of the pre-show videos.

Dark match: Cryme Tyme (JTG & Shad Gaspar) beat Hart Dynasty (Tyson Kidd & D.H. Smith) in a quick five-minute match that had some decent spots, but was too short to matter.

Live show notes: Crowd seemed to be disappointed by the Big Show being Jericho's partner. Even so, Jericho was getting some decent cheers, and they defeated Legacy. ... The six-way match won by Kofi was a good match, and the crowd really liked him. ... Christian beat Dreamer for the ECW belt. I felt bad for Dreamer in his match because his own Philadelphia crowd cheered Christian more than him. It was a strange crowd.

Orton won the triple threat in a strange finish. Orton was getting more cheers than Cena. ... McCool beat Melina in one of the best Divas matches I've seen in months. ... Mickie James beat Maryse for the Divas title in an average match. There was a creative sign in the third row that said "Maryse is a Godess" in French. ... By now the crowd was rotting in their seats of boredom. They didn't really care about the IC title match either where Rey retained over Ziggler. Really, I was hoping for more from the two of them, but it still wasn't bad.

The main event was where the crowd finally came alive. Jeff beat C.M. Punk in a stellar match. This show was very interesting, with some great matches.
