WWE News: Preview for tonight's Superstars on WGN - Punk vs. Edge, Morrison vs. Haas Jul 2, 2009 - 6:37:34 PM
Tonight's episode of WWE Superstars on WGN features World Hvt. champion C.M. Punk against Unified tag team champion Edge in a non-title match. The Smackdown brand will once again be represented in the TV main event with Jim Ross and Todd Grisham calling the match.
ECW does not have a match scheduled for tonight's show, according to WWE's preview. On ECW TV two nights ago, Zack Ryder and Tyler Reks talked up a Superstars match. The match was taped at last night's SD/ECW TV taping to air unannounced on tonight's show.
Instead, the Smackdown brand has a second match with John Morrison facing Charlie Haas. Considering the Friday night brand is generally viewed to have the best talent and content right now, it's understandable they would have two matches tonight.
The Raw brand will be represented by an undercard match of Santino vs. The Brian Kendrick.
