WWE News: Torrie Wilson very upset with WWE for WrestleMania 25 divas battle royal and lack of support for "I'm a Celebrity" show Jul 2, 2009 - 3:20:59 PM
Former WWE diva Torrie Wilson says she's very upset with WWE for how she was used in the WrestleMania 25 divas battle royal. She also says her feelings were hurt when WWE "ignored" her requests to support her on the "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here" reality show.
"I'm very mad at myself and embarrassed that I agreed to be a part of something like that," Torrie told Kevin Eck of the Baltimore Sun about the 25-divas battle royal. "A lot of people in the audience didn’t even know that I was in that match because they didn’t even announce it. ... I feel like maybe I’m not appreciated like I would have hoped."
After the experience at WrestleMania, Torrie says she understood why Trish Stratus decided not to participate. "She was smart," Torrie said. "Going into it I trusted them that they would use me in the right way and I should have known better. All in all, I learned a valuable lesson."
Torrie says her negative feelings toward WWE were heightened when she says WWE didn't offer any support on their website for the "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here" reality show on NBC where she came in second place.
"I just didn’t appreciate that experience (at WM25) and I felt very unappreciated after all of the years that I put in for them," Torrie said. "You combine that with the fact that I asked them to do a little thing on wwe.com to 'vote for Torrie' and they just ignored me. So, my feelings are hurt."
Torrie says it was closure for her wrestling career and she's going to begin filming work-out videos in Los Angeles based on her exercises on "I'm a Celebrity." Torrie also talks in-depth about the reality show experience in the interview with Kevin Eck.
