WWE News: WWE announces resignation of senior executive and board member effective December 31 Nov 6, 2008 - 8:41:57 AM
Along with issuing its third quarter 2008 earnings results, WWE announced the resignation of chief operating officer Michael Sileck. His resignation is effective on December 31, so he will oversee fourth quarter operations prior to leaving the company.
Sileck leaves behind the COO post and a position on the board of directors after coming on board in June 2005 as CFO. He will be replaced by Donna Goldsmith, who was executive VP of consumer products. Goldsmith, who has been with WWE for eight years after coming from the NBA, will pick up a spot on the board of directors.
"WWE has had the benefit of Mike's former experience from both USA Network and Monster Worldwide, and we appreciate the contributions Mike has made in both of the positions he has held in our company."
Caldwell's Analysis: I'm sure we'll find out more about this during WWE's conference call with investors this morning, so stay tuned for more information on this development.
