WWE Raw HOLT report
October 6, 2008
Seattle, Wash.
Report by Bonnie Svitavsky, Librarian - PWTorch.com reader

- The Key Arena staff didn't let people in until 4:40, with a ticket time of 5:30. This barely gave us enough time to buy a shirt, go to the bathroom, wait halfway through a a line for food, and then give up and hurry to our seats before the dark match started. We were in the first 20 people that entered the building, and several people seated around us had the same problem - wanting to spend money on food/merchandise and not being able to without missing the show.

- Dark match was Dolph Ziggler vs. Charlie Haas dressed as "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. Dolph got the "you can't wrestle" chant, though he wasn't bad. Dolph won after running up the ropes and pinning Haas after reversing a sleeper hold.

- Santino's comments about the Sonics had a fair amount of sting, since the Key Arena STILL had advertisements and banners up for the team.

- Somehow, the audience didn't know to go *boom boom boom* when Kofi Kingston clapped his hands.

- Kane was really over with the crowd. So was Rey Mysterio. *shrug*

- The Great Khali ran the Kiss Cam after showing a clip of his interview with Johnny Knoxville. It ended with him kissing Lillian Garcia.

- Morrison's abs blinded me with science. Cryme Tyme pulled Michael Cole into the ring after the Kelly Kelly vs. Jillian match. Kelly Kelly danced with the tag team and Cole, who tried to dance like JTG. It was not pretty.

- Randy Orton got a big face pop when he first appeared on the screen, but was booed when he came out as a guest commentator.

- I don't know how it sounded on TV, but the audience was loud and into almost all the matches. They loved Batista, particularly the kids, and popped for every appearance of John Cena in promos. While we waited to get in line, several people speculated about Cena making an appearance tonight, because "you never know." I was more than a little surprised at how much people didn't get storylines or characters. They understood when to pop and boo, but talk around us was about how much they despised heels (many people didn't want to hear Jericho or Santino because they're full of it or jerks) and ONLY wanted to see faces.

QUICK TIPS FOR SENDING RESULTS

If you attend an arena event in future, either house shows or TV tapings, we encourage you to send us a report for publication. You can direct your reports to our "matchresults06" email - direct link
If you know HTML coding for bolding, you can also bold out the first line of each match description. If you don't know HTML symbols, then we can add those ourselves.

Special thanks to everyone who helps us with reports on live events!
