Ratings News: Is a "Bring Back Mike Adamle" campaign going to start - ratings down for ECW (w/Keller's Analysis) Jul 31, 2008 - 7:55:14 PM
Fire Todd Grisham? Give Mike Adamle double-duty? Ratings dropped for the first post-Mike Adamle edition of ECW, from a season-high rating of 1.5 last week to a 1.42 this week. A relatively small drop, but if people were curious from Raw how ECW would react to Adamle's new role, it didn't produce a ratings pop.
Keller's Analysis: The actual audience drop was about 78,000 out of nearly 2 million, relatively close to the margin of error withon the Nielson Ratings system. No reason to actually panic, and certainly Adamle probably had nothing to do with it, but the way WWE reacts in knee-jerk fashion to ratings blips at times, who knows whether Grisham will be "blamed" at all. The show has been good more often than not lately, with an amazingly good final 5-10 minutes of a main event last week and a solid show from start to finish this week.
