WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON UPDATE...
-British wrestling legend Ricki Starr died at the age of 83; WWE issued a statement of acknowledgement.
-Ricardo Rodriguez said in a new interview that he requested his release from WWE (back on July 31) due to taking a paycut and feeling like WWE made him "hate wrestling."
-John Cena replaced Triple H in the weekly sit-down interview with Michael Cole on WWE's website to play up his storyline feud with Seth Rollins. Cena also hyped Brock Lesnar (more than WWE has in the two weeks since Night of Champions) and discussed needing to get on the same page with Dean Ambrose.
-Cena is currently the top star advertised for WWE's 15-year anniversary of Smackdown taping next Tuesday in Philadelphia.
-A set of fitness DVDs starring Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are scheduled for release on December 2, according to new listings on Amazon.com.
-TNA is set to release two Knockouts-themed PPVs in November. One will focus on the Beautiful People and the other will be the "One Night Only" themed Knockouts PPV.
-Former ROH World champion Michael Elgin says he is still detained in Canada, but he implied that he will return to the U.S. within the next two weeks to make an independent wrestling booking in Illinois.
