FRIDAY MORNING UPDATE...

-WWE Smackdown TV tonight has Roman Reigns vs. The Miz in the main event. Plus, a pre- advertised match of Randy Orton vs. Rob Van Dam in an intriguing singles match-up.

-The rough August road schedule for Midwest & Eastern-based WWE wrestlers continues this weekend, as WWE returns to California for house shows after spending last week on the West Coast. The light at the end of the tunnel is no house shows next weekend.

-Meanwhile, TNA continues to re-arrange their upcoming schedule. House shows scheduled for North Carolina and Virginia next month are now TV tapings and the set of four TV tapings scheduled for Bethlehem, Pa. are now standard shows.

-Ring of Honor has "Death Before Dishonor" weekend in Milwaukee and Chicago featuring Michael Elgin defending the ROH Title both nights. This will be his third and fourth title defenses of the month leading into ROH's next Internet PPV in September.

-On Internet PPV tonight, Shine women's wrestling has Shine champion Ivelisse Velez, Awesome Kong, and more top women's wrestlers. The event from Florida is at WWNLive.com.

-The main event for WrestleCade is now official. It will be Matt Hardy vs. Drew McIntyre for the WrestleCade Title in November in North Carolina.

-Valentino's Live Review: Check out PWTorch specialist Shawn Valentino's live review of Dolph Ziggler guest-starring at a "We Want Wrestling" podcast taping featuring former WWE writer Matt McCarthy.
