We've come upon the end of Season Two of our weekly Place Your Bets contest for each week's WWE Raw. Season Two started the night after WrestleMania 25 and we're attempting to crown a winner leading to Summerslam. Ironically, Shawn Michaels left WWE TV at the start of the contest and returned to TV just in time for the end of this season's contest. In between, we discovered a winner for Season Two. Or did we? Find out who...
Questions for 8/17 WWE Raw (Season 2, Week 17)
(1) Who will be a winner in the longest match of the show?
(2) Who will be a winner in the shortest match of the show?
(3) Name one person involved in the longest talking/non-wrestling segment of the show?
Answers for 8/17 WWE Raw (Season 2, Week 17)
(1) Kofi Kingston and Carlito shocked everyone being booked for a match lasting longer than two minutes. Alas, Kingston won the longest match of the show in surprise fashion. John Cena and Randy Orton's tag victory over Chris Jericho and Big Show in the main event came in just one minute short of Kofi's opening match victory.
(2) WWE didn't give MVP and Jack Swagger much time to work with on this week's show. Commercial break for their match was longer than the match itself, as MVP won the shortest match of the show via DQ in one minute.
(3) The opening segment of the show went nearly 15 minutes and involved Freddy Prinze, Jr., Randy Orton, Santino Marella, and medics. Bonus point if anyone picked medics. Many PYB participants suspected Cena would be involved in this category, but he did not make an appearance to make the save for Prinze, Jr. The DX-Legacy segment for the DX Reunion came up just a few minutes short of being the longest talking segment of the show.
Caldwell's Analysis: This was another very tough week, as no one picked Kofi or MVP for the first two categories. Only two PYB participants picked Randy Orton in category three. One of the participants was Andrew Neal, who went from a tie for second place to a tie for first place with Travis, who was unable to score a point this week to secure the Season Two victory. In the event of a tie, we'll have to consult the PYB rulebook...
We'll select three matches from this Sunday's Summerslam PPV and have Travis and Andrew Neal pick the winners. Whoever scores the most picks correctly will be our Season Two winner and join Season One winner Joseph Bukosky in the history books. PYB player Travis finished second place last season...will he redeem himself in the Summerslam PYB playoff?
