LIVE PRE-SHOW RESULTS:

(A) The Naturals defeated Sonny Siaki & Johnny B. Badd. The Naturals had Badd set up for a chainshot, Siaki saved Badd but Stevens hit Siaki with the chain and pinned him.

(B) Chris Candido pinned Cassidy Reilly. The crowd cheered for Candido, the heel, who hit an impressive hanging vertical suplex. Reilly went for a top rope move, but Candido caught him and finished him with a top rope superplex and a top rope diving headbutt. The match went about six minutes.

FINAL RESOLUTION RESULTS:

The live show began with an over produced introduction video, which referenced America's Most Wanted winning the 2004 Tag Team of the Year Award (without mentioning Pro Wrestling Torch).

Announcer Mike Tenay and Don West hyped the show, focusing on the three title matches.

(1) 3 Live Kru defeated Michael Shane & Frankie Kazarian & Christopher Daniels when Ron Killings pinned Shane. Konnan and B.G. James did their usual prematch microphone work. The crowd, which has been very hot tonight, seemed to like Daniels as well as 3 Live Kru. Daniels accidentally nailed Frankie Kazarian with a springboard moonsault to the floor, enabling the Kru to hit a triple team move, called "The Extinction," for the win.

Backstage, Dusty Rhodes welcomed Traci Brooks, Trinity, and Jonny Fairplay for the TNA Survivor Elimination Contest. Fairplay and Trinity teased working together. Dusty announced that the winners would be the first two to return to him with the clue, which was "as clear as the hat on your head." Traci kissed Dusty, who smacked her on the ass as she left.

(2) Elix Skipper pinned Sonjay Dutt. The crowd was really into Skipper. Dutt blocked Skipper's Play of the Day finisher, but Skipper ogt his knees up to block a Dutt moonsault. Dutt missed the Hindu Press and Skipper followed with a Hotshot and a spinning uranage for the win in about eight minutes.

A weird vignette aired for an unnamed new wrestler, rumored to be Ryan Wilson (formerly Titus).

Kevin Nash met up with Diamond Dallas Page backstage. Nash has died his hair brown again. Nash told Page they should work together to eliminate Monty Brown from the three-way match. Page said he didn't trust Nash. Nash said he'd prove himself to DDP later.

(3) Dustin Rhodes pinned Kid Kash. The storyline of the match was Kash working over Rhodes's knee. Kash scored a near fall off an enziguiri and was arguing with the official when Rhodes hit a bulldog out of nowhere to get the pinfall.

The TNA cameras followed Jonny Fairplay as he looked for clues. He found Dusty Rhodes's cowboy hat and deduced that it was the clue Rhodes was talking about earlier.

(4) Erik Watts pinned Raven with a chokeslam. Watts brough a chair with him to the ring. The two men brawled up the aisle and around ringside. Watts chokeslammed Raven on the floor. Watts blocked Raven's DDT, but Raven started working over Watts's ankle. Watts finally hit another chokeslam for the pin. After the match, Raven got on the mic and apologized to Watts, saying that Watts has a family and friends and Raven had neither. When Watts got close enough, Raven hit him with a trash can and threw Watts off the stage.

(5) Jeff Hardy pinned Scott Hall with a swanton bomb.
Special guest referee Roddy Piper came to the ring first. Hall was wearing his Elvis outfit, and Hardy had a green silk handkerchief in his back pocket. Piper made a big show of searching both wrestlers. He found two weapons on Hall, then a chain inside his Elvis jacket. Hall got made and frisked Piper, finding a pair of handcuffs in Piper's pocket. I didn't need to see that. The match was built around Hall arguing with Piper. The finish came when Hall tried to use brass nucs on Hardy, but Hot Rod poked Hall in the eye, allowing Hardy to hit his Twist of Fate/swanton combination for the win.

After the match, Abyss hit the ring and attacked Jeff Hardy while Tenay and West acted completely shocked.

Backstage, Traci Brooks and Trinity both flirted with one of Dusty Rhodes's staff members to find out where the clue was. The guy wouldn't help either of them.

(6) Monty Brown defeated Diamond Dallas Page and Kevin Nash in a Three Way Dance to earn an NWA Title shot. Wrestlers could be eliminated by countout, disqualification, pinfall, submission or being thrown over the top rope. Nash and Page worked together in the opening minutes of the match. Nash saved Page after Brown had hit him with a DDT. Nash turned on Page, trying for the big boot, but Page then turned on Nash, throwing him over the top rope to eliminate him. Page had Brown pinned following a Diamond Cutter, but Nash pulled Page off of Brown. After some more near falls by Page, Brown hit the Pounce and pinned Page to earn a match against Jeff Jarrett.

TNA wants you to know that their next pay-per-view, "Against All Odds" will take place on February 13. Because you're the only one...who really knew them at all.

(7) America's Most Wanted defeated Team Canada (w/Scott D'Amore) to capture the NWA World Tag Team Titles when Chris Harris pinned Eric Young. Best match of the night so far. The match started with a ringside brawl. AMW dominated the early going, but had to put up with D'Amore's interference. Young caught a nasty bump on his forehead after being thrown into the railing by James Storm. Storm powerbombed Young off the top rope but D'Amore made the save. AMW handcuffed D'Amore to the post. Johnny Devine ran in and hit Storm with a hockey stick, but Storm kicked out. Bobby Roode slammed Harris onto a chair, but Harris kicked out. Harris got the pin after Devine accidentally hit Young.

Jonny Fairplay met up with Traci Brooks and Trinity backstage. He gloated about finding the clue inside Dusty's cowboy hat. Traci and Trinity beat Fairplay up, taking the hat and the clue. They returned to Dusty Rhodes, who declared them both the survivors. Dusty then gave the two women their next task, saying that the one who brought the best tag team into TNA would become his assistant.

(8) A.J. Styles defeated Petey Williams and Chris Sabin in an Ultimate X match to capture the NWA X Division Title. Scott D'Amore remained handcuffed to the metal post. Williams and Sabin brawled at ringside and Styles hit both of them with a no-hands flip plancha. The trio took turns trying to reach the belt. Styles set up Sabin for an electric chair, but Petey hit Sabin with a hurracanrana from the cable. They kept attempting (and hitting) insane spots. Williams set for the Canadian Destroyer on Sabin, but Sabin blocked it and give Williams a running Ligerbomb into the turnbuckle. Sabin climbed the ropes and went across the cable, undoing the belt while hanging upside down. Williams clambered across the opposite side to do the same thing. They undid the belt from the grid and battled over it in midair until Styles jumped off the top rope and stole the belt from Sabin and Williams to win the title. Ladies and gentlemen, we have our first Match of the Year candidate of 2005.

Backstage, security led Jeff Jarrett from his locker room. On the way out, he passed by Kevin Nash. Jarrett taunted Nash for losing his match. Security had to hold Nash back from attacking Jarrett.

(9) NWA World Champion Jeff Jarrett pinned Monty Brown after hitting Brown with three Stroke neckbreakers and a mule kick. The match wasn't up to their meeting on Impact, but it was still decent. Jarrett got the early advantage and taunted Brown. The crowd chanted for Brown. Jarrett and Brown brawled at ringside. Jarrett and Brown fought into the crowd, where Jarrett hit two chairshots on Brown. Back at ringside, Jarrett gave Brown another chairshot to the ribs. Jarrett then threw Brown over the announcer's table and hit Brown with Don West's chair. Jarrett grabbbed the title belt, but referee Rudy Charles took the belt away. After a sleeper reversal spot, Brown surprised Jarrett with a powerbomb, but Jarrett kicked out. The ref was bumped, and Jarrett hit a guitar shot for two, a chair shot for two, and a belt shot for two. Brown rallied, but accidentally Pounced the referee. Jarrett got a second guitar from under the ring steps, but Brown used it to hit Jarrett. A second referee ran in, but Jarrett kicked out. The crowd chanted "bulls--t" at the near fall. Jarrett hit Brown with the broken guitar, then went to the finish.
