The Return of Falls Count Anywhere...

WHY NOT DANIEL BRYAN?

There’s been plenty of talk from Daniel Bryan fans and detractors alike that WWE cannot trust a “fragile” Bryan to run with the ball if he is given that opportunity again. To both sides of that coin, I ask... why not? How many serious injuries have major WWE stars suffered in the past 15 years and we’ve seen those same stars come back from injury only to be booked as strong as they were pre-injury? Do the names Triple H, John Cena, Randy Orton, and Edge ring any bells? The number of combined major injuries they’ve had since 2000 is countless and yet there has never been any hesitation to let them run with the ball again!

If your argument is Bryan’s size, I have that covered as well. Edge wasn’t a guy with a big frame, by any means, and continually got his spot back. Look at wresters like Chris Jericho, Bret Hart, and Shawn Michaels (after 2001 anyway). HBK’s “second career run" also saw almost no real interruption. I believe Bryan's similar connection with today's crowd (even after eight months off TV) should supersede any size/durability concerns. The case for Bryan to get another shot should be made. For every “smaller” wrestler like Rey Mysterio I can throw names at you like Triple H, Randy Orton, and John Cena.

DON’T BE SURPRISED...

Does anyone else notice that the heel-loving JBL doesn’t seem to hype up The Ascension like he does other heels? There has to be a reason for that. One reason could be the APA. Don’t be surprised to see The Ascension state in a future promo that they’re also better than The APA ever was, setting up an angle.

I don’t foresee The Warlord or a 2015 version of The Road Warriors coming back any time soon. But, the APA? I could definitely see that. Heck, Ron Simmons is advertised for Monday's Raw. Rubbing elbows with a big-time Attitude Era tag team could help give The Ascension the much-needed boost that they need.

DESTINATION PUBLIC ACCESS?

So, two weeks of TNA Impact Wrestling have passed and I still can’t believe the production value for this show. At this point, I don’t see much of a difference between ROH on Sinclair TV and Impact Wrestling on Destination America. We all knew that TNA was taking a step back when it had to leave Spike TV, but I never expected this.

The shots of Josh Matthews and Taz look seedy and the lighting makes the show look like it's in front of 200 people. After the final segment on Impact, I expect to see a broadcast of my local town council taking a vote...or maybe a re-run of “Wayne's World." I hope this is something TNA will rectify moving forward. Hopefully during its next set of tapings that don’t take place in New York City.

WHO'S LEFT FOR WWE HALL OF FAME?

There’s only a handful of sure-fire WWE Hall of Famers left to induct that are not on the active roster as both full and part-time wresters. With WWE seemingly making 5-6 inductions annually, finding legitimate headliners to induct at some point will be a problem. It may take another ten years to get to that point, but it’s bound to happen.

Below I’ve made a list of my “no-brainers” and names for serious consideration (not taking into account active full-time/part-time wrestlers such as The Rock, Sting, Undertaker). If you’d like to debate or bring some more names to light, feel feel to contact me on Twitter (information at the bottom of the page).

“NO BRAINERS” ...

- Lou Thesz: Never really wrestled for WWWF/WWF/WWE, but really?!

- Paul Heyman: Is there any doubt?

- Eric Bischoff: If Vince McMahon can hire him and hug him on TV, you can’t deny what he’s contributed.

- Fabulous Freebirds: This has to happen in Dallas since it didn’t in Atlanta, right?

- Sable: Might as well put her in while Brock Lesnar is around.

- NWO: Matter of time.

- DX: See above.

- Kenta Kobashi: Might never happen, but really probably should.

SERIOUS CONSIDERATION...

- Diamond Dallas Page: very long career, multiple World Titles.

- Vader: Multi-time World champion, one of the best Super Heavyweights ever.

- British Bulldogs: One of the best WWF tag teams of the '80s.

- Hart Foundation: ('80s team & '90s faction included) - potential legality issue with Owen Hart's widow, Martha Hart. And, if you don’t feel Owen and/or Brian Pillman were good enough on their own, this does get them in with a team/faction that deserves serious consideration.
