In Brief: Jakks, Mattel, and other large toy companies have produced many figures of Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, and other members of the Four Horsemen.

A few years back, Jakks-Pacific produced a series of two-packs of members of the legendary Four Horsemen. The figures did not get a lot of love from collectors or kids back then, but more and more fans are adding toys of Ric Flair and company to their collections.

The two-packs were released in 2007 as a part of the WWE Classic Superstars Line. Packaged together were Ric Flair and Barry Windham, Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson, and Lex Luger and Dean Malenko. Flair is made wearing one of his custom suits from the 1980s, while Windham sports a Four Horsemen t-shirt. Malenko and Luger also have Horsemen shirts, while Blanchard and Anderson are wearing black and red ring jackets. All of the figures have one hand giving the Horsemen sign.

Most stores sold the two-packs for $24.99-29.99 each, which was a pretty hefty price tag. Many of them sat on retail store shelves until they were clearance out. If you have a discount store like Big Lots in your area, you may still be able to find the two-packs for $15 each.

On the secondary market, the Horsemen figures seem to sell best when they are offered individually and out of the package. Windham and Flair usually sell for around $10-12 each loose, and the other four usually sell for slightly less.

Aside from these six figures, most of the Horsemen have plenty of toys to choose from. Flair’s first toy was produced by Remco as a part of the AWA line of figures in the mid-1980s. Since then, he has been included in toy lines from Hasbro (WWF), Galoob (WCW), Jakks (WWE), and others.

To commemorate Flair’s induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008, Ringside Collectibles sold an exclusive figure from Jakks that captured the “Nature Boy” in all his glory from his final WWE match against Shawn Michaels. Ringsidecollectibles.com is currently selling this figure loose for $14.99; packaged figures usually sell on the secondary market for about $25-30.

Anderson and Windham had their first toys made by Galoob (WCW) in 1990. Jakks made quite a few different toys of Anderson over the years, and mattycollector.com recently released images of Mattel’s first figure of the “Enforcer,” which will be available exclusively on the site later this year. Jakks made just a few figures of Windham over the years, so there aren’t a lot out there. Expect to pay at least $10-15 for a loose figure and considerably more for one still in the package.

Blanchard’s first action figure wasn’t made until Jakks released a few as a part of the Classic WWE Superstars line in the mid-2000s. His Series 15 figure captures Tully at his best from his days as the NWA Television Champion, complete with a cool black robe. It’s a tough one to find but is pretty affordable, usually for under $20.

Luger, like Flair, has no shortage of action figures available. Toys of the “Total Package” have been made by Galoob (WCW), Hasbro (WWF), and Jakks (WWE Classic Superstars), among others. There are plenty of cool Jakks figures that showcase Lex in black tights and white boots that can usually be found for $10 or $15.

Of the original Horsemen, only Ole Anderson lacks any sort of wrestling figure. Given his infamous relationship with Vince McMahon, that certainly isn’t a surprise. None of the major toy companies has ever made a J.J. Dillon figure, either.

Many other wrestlers came and went from the Horsemen over the years, and there are action figures available of most of them. While Chris Benoit wasn’t included in the previously mentioned Four Horsemen two-packs, Jakks did produce a similar figure of him wearing a Horsemen T-shirt as a part of its Best of WCW line of figures. Jakks also made plenty of other Benoit toys from 2000 to 2007.

Sting had plenty of WCW figures available made by companies like Galoob and Toy Biz, but it wasn’t until 2010 that Jakks made the first modern-era Sting figures. One of the coolest of these toys was a Ringside Collectibles exclusive that depicted Sting exactly as he looked when he first beat Ric Flair for the World title in 1990, complete with red, white and blue jacket and face paint. It usually sells in the $15-20 range packaged, or just under $10 loose.

Jakks and Mattel have both made pretty cool figures of Brian Pillman. Jakks produced toys of Pillman from his days as Flyin’ Brian and a member of the Hollywood Blondes, while Mattel’s third series of WWE Legends toys included a figure that more closely resembled Pillman’s days as the “Rogue Horseman.” The Mattel figure first came out in 2010 and can still be found in retail stores for $14.99 or less.

Plenty of toys have been made of Sid Vicious over the years as well. Galoob (WCW), Hasbro (WWF), Toy Biz (WCW), and Jakks have all offered toys of Sid during different stages of his career. His best was included in the 16th series of WWE Classic Superstars from Jakks, and features Sid in a vest and black trunks. You can usually find one of these for around $10 loose or $20-25 packaged.

Only Toy Biz ever made a toy of former Horseman and Chicago Bears great Sxeve McMichael. The figure itself is nothing special, but if you’re a Four Horsemen enthusiast, you can probably find one for under $10.

If you’re looking to add the Four Horsemen to your collection if figures, there are quite a few options out there for most of the big names. There are some pretty cool figures made of what many fans consider to be the key Horsemen: Flair, Blanchard, Anderson, Luger, and Windham.
Paul Roma, on the other hand, is still waiting for his first action figure.
