SUPERSTARS HITS

Primo vs. Ryder: This was a good match. It wasn't very long at 5 minutes, but at least it was given that long (they'd get maybe 3 at the most on Raw). I have become a fan of Zack Ryder on ECW. He is a good worker. I have to admit to saying "you know it" way too often in my own life because of him (just ask my wife). I'm really hopeful that he doesn't get lost in the shuffle on Raw. I hope that matches like this one against Primo will remind the Raw powers that be that he has talent that should not be wasted. This match went back and forth well for the time that it had. It had energy and the right man won with Ryder picking up the victory. The announcers were a bit distracting talking more about Ryder's outfit and laughing at his move names than actually calling the match.

Khali, Hardy & Maria vs. The Hart Dynasty: When I read that this match was happening again on Superstars this week, I didn't expect it to end up as a Hit, but I was wrong. I enjoyed it this week. The booking of this match was very well done. The Great Khali's role was thankfully kept to a minimum. Matt Hardy and Tyson Kidd handled the majority of the in ring action which was good as they put on an entertaining match. I would like to see a longer singles match between them. DH Smith was booked to look smart for tagging in Natalya as a way of getting Khali out of the ring. Natalya was also booked to look smart in taking advantage of the mixed tag rules and attacking Maria before she had a chance to get into the ring. The action between the Divas was short but good while it lasted. The match also built well to the ending with the Dynasty picking up the win clean with their new version of the Hart Attack.

SUPERSTARS MISSES

None: I can't really complain about anything this week. Although I didn't give it a Hit, the opening tag match was solid. It was good to see Jack Swagger getting the win. A team of Swagger and William Regal has some potential, but with Regal being a pro on NXT, I doubt it will continue (I also assume that Regal's role as an NXT mentor is the reason that he and his old protégé Ezekiel Jackson ended up on different brands. Or perhaps WWE wants to see Jackson on his own?). There were multiple video packages which we've seen already, but they were all good videos. I really liked the NXT video that ended the debut, and was fine seeing it again on Superstars. I loved the Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker video from Raw and enjoyed seeing it again with the added footage. I am never going to be a fan of the Raw Rebound, but this was a newsworthy show so I can accept it this week. I don't look forward to having this many videos on Superstars every week, and I suspect it will get worse as we get closer to WrestleMania. However, I didn't mind it this week because of the quality of the videos. Last week I complained that there was no purpose to any of the matches on Superstars. This week, the main event was a rematch from Smackdown which fit into a budding tag team feud, so I can't make the same complaint this week.
