ECW HITS

Opening Segment: ECW got off to a good start this week with the in ring segment featuring ECW Champion Matt Hardy and his three potential challengers at Cyber Sunday. Everyone was solid to good in their roles. Hardy gave a solid opening promo. It was nice to hear that he wanted the biggest and strongest competition in Mark Henry. Finlay was solid. It was nice to hear Evan Bourne get some mic time as well. I particularly liked when Henry told the three in the ring not to beat each other up, because that's his job. That was a great line. Henry has really been delivering lately. If I were to pay 99¢ to vote, I would vote for Bourne and that would be the match I most look forward to on the PPV.

Main Event: Bourne vs. Finlay vs. Henry was a good t.v. main event. It could have been better as it did get slow at times, particularly when Bourne wasn't in the ring. But, it did have plenty of good action and went a good length. Bourne is electrifying to watch and I would have preferred to see him in a one on one match against either of the other two. Finlay did a good job of selling his shoulder injury. It was nice to see Bourne pick up the win and Henry was still protected after Finlay cheated. It could have been a better match, but it was still good enough to get a Hit.

ECW MISSES

Halloween Segment: I guess ECW has to play up the Halloween thing for host network Sci-Fi that's doing some sort of 31 Days of Halloween, or whatever. But, this segment was terrible. Tiffany keeps showing up in slutty costumes each week. It might be nice to look at, but I still say it isn't a good way to use a woman who is supposedly the assistant general manager. The idea that Hornswoggle is a child is getting old. The whole Teddy Long as Shaft was stupid. It would have been better if it hadn't been for the use of the Shaft music. Where did that music come from? They never think about that type of thing. The whole segment was stupid.
