Ultima Lucha Night 1
The show opened with a video package featuring Dario, Big Ryck, The Mack, Cage, Drago, Catrina, The Tag Champions, and Hernandez.
Backstage: Black Lotus was training in her jail cell until she was interrupted by Dario. Dario said Ultima Lucha is finally here and Lutus gave him the finger. Dario asked why a victim can become so dangerous. Dario explained that his father made a lot of money exploiting his brother. He said his brother never hurt her parents. El Dragon Azteca killed her parents and blamed Dario's brother. He said the truth hurts but it can also set you free. Lotus kept punching the wall trying to break free.
Opening credits rolled which brought us to The Temple to begin the show.
In-ring: Santos welcomed the audience to Ultima Lucha.
Announcers: Vampiro welcomed the audience to the show. Matt Striker hyped tonight's matches of Hernandez vs. Drago, The Mack vs. Cage, and The Disciples of Death challenging Ivelisse, Son of Havoc, and Angélico for the Trios Tag Titles.
In-ring: Santos introduced The Mack for the opening contest.
1 - THE MACK vs. CAGE - Falls Count Anywhere match
Cage ran out and ambushed Mack from behind, then slammed Mack on a platform on the upper deck. Cage moved into the crowd and Mack hit a suplex on the bleachers and went for a pin. Cage grabbed a chair and hit Mack, but Mack speared Cage through a door. Cage grabbed a fire extinguisher and blew it in the face of Mack then hit him over the head with a stop sign. But, Cage hit a DDT onto the stop sign.
More weaponry. Mack smacked a 2x4 over the back of Cage, then he found a cooler and whacked Cage. He drank two beers and gave Cage a Stone Cold Stunner for a nearfall. Cage set up a table, but Mack kicked Cage then maneuvered under him for a powerbomb through the table. Mack hit Cage with a crutch in the crowd.
They crawled to the stairs and Mack hit Cage with a trashcan lid before landing a spinebuster onto a garbage can. Cage clotheslined Mack over the barricade, then picked him up for a suplex off the barricade. Cage grabbed a cinder block and smashed Mack's face through it for the win.
WINNER: Cage at 7:42.

2 – Trios Tag champions IVELISSE & SON OF HAVOC & ANGÉLICO vs. THE DISCIPLES OF DEATH (w/Catrina) - Trios Tag Titles match
Everyone began to brawl each other because the match was Texas Tornado rules. The Disciples began to dominate. Havoc threw a disciple to the outside and dove onto him then dove onto another. Angélico ran and dove onto the last member. Havoc hit a standing shooting star press, then a disciple locked in a Boston Crab-like move, which Havoc broke up.
A disciple brawled with Angélico at the top of the stairs, then back-body-dropped him. Havoc fought off two disciples by the ring, then Angélico leaped off the top of the temple onto three disciples. Catrina entered the ring and held up her stone, but Ivelisse got behind Catrina and took her to the ground and beat her down. But, Catrina grabbed the stone again and knocked out Ivelisse. A disciple crawled into the ring for the win.
WINNER: The Disciples of Death at 6:20 to capture the Trios Championship.
[Break]
In-ring: Santos introduced the believers to the ring who came with their leather straps. The first luchador to the ring was Hernandez. His opponent tonight is Drago.

3 -- DRAGO vs. HERNANDEZ - Believers Backlash Match
Hernandez caught Drago on the ropes, then dropkicked him. The believers stood behind Drago and cheered for him. Hernandez went out to get Drago and the believers beat him down. Drago hit a corkscrew off the top rope, then Drago clotheslined him off the top rope and the believers hit Hernandez until he went towards the ring.
Hernandez grabbed a strap from a fan and the fan suddenly ran away. Drago went for a cross-body, but Hernandez caught him and turned it into a powerbomb. Hernandez went for a diving headbutt, but Drago countered and hit a Tornado DDT. Hernandez picked up Drago, but Drago rolled out and went for a pin. Hernandez picked up Drago again and threw him on top of the believers.
Hernandez went to dive onto Drago, but Drago sprayed his mist into the air. Hernandez hid under the ring and Drago grabbed a table. The believers beat down Hernandez and backed him toward Drago. Drago then hit Hernandez with nunchucks then set him onto the table. Drago dove off of the top rope through the table. Finally, Drago dragged Hernandez into the ring and hit another move off the top for the victory.
WINNER: Drago at 8:49.
Backstage: A masked luchador tried to enter a building. He was told he cannot enter because the prophecy says he will die. The masked luchador referred to Black Lotus saying she is being kept as a prisoner and he must free her. He said it doesn't matter if he does because El Dragon Azteca will live on forever.
FINAL THOUGHTS: Really strong start to Ultima Lucha. All the matches tonight were three-star-plus matches where everyone gave it their all. It seems as if there will be a conclusion or Lucha Underground will at least move on to the next chapter with Black Lotus.
Also, It was nice to see Dario wearing a tuxedo for the occasion and it was a very nice tough to have banners for all the Ultima Lucha matches. I was hoping for a little bit more difference in the temple perhaps decorations or a big light fixture saying "Ultima Lucha," though.
SUMMARY RESULTS: (1) Cage pinned The Mack... (2) The Disciples of Death captured the Tag Championship... (3) Drago beat Hernandez.
