A fine episode of Superstars with focus on the mid-card Money in the Bank match at WrestleMania. What stood out from this show was Shelton Benjamin showing flashes of brilliance, especially the split-legged springboard moonsault on Kane in the opening match. I've given up on WWE giving Shelton a real look at the main event scene, so anything above expectations will be just fine for Shelton going forward.

The main event six-man tag gave everyone in the MITB match a spotlight opportunity, specifically Christian and Jack Swagger. Evan Bourne would have been a good addition to this match if they wanted to extend to a ten-man tag match. For the MITB match, Yoshi Tatsu would be a good addition if they want to make it an even ten-man tag match.

Meanwhile, with Jack Swagger, I get the sense WWE is preparing to give him a hard look after WrestleMania for a second tier opportunity, either on Raw or on Smackdown if he's drafted. Swagger being involved with Vince McMahon two weeks ago, being spotlighted on Superstars with him having a role at WrestleMania in MITB, and working main events on recent house shows are three pieces of small evidence that could add up to a larger role after WrestleMania. We'll see.

Jon Mezzera, PWTorch.com Contributor (7.5)

I really enjoyed this week's Superstars. The wrestling quality varied from solid (Bellas vs. Jillian & Katie Lea Burchill) to good. It started out with the best match of the night, Kane vs. Shelton Benjamin. I appreciate how Matt Striker set the match up as a chance for both wrestlers to scout each other before Money in the Bank. That was a simple yet effective way to give the match some meaning. Kane and Benjamin worked very well together. This was Kane's best recent singles match and Benjamin showed off his great athleticism. The match even told a story as it focused on Kane's attempts to chokeslam Benjamin who attempted to counter that move a number of times. The six man tag team main event featuring Christian, Mark Henry, Yoshi Tatsu vs. Jack Swagger, William Regal, Zack Ryder was a fun match. They all worked hard and put on an entertaining tag match with a lot of energy.

My only complaint about the show was having to sit through the same WrestleMania Recall that we have already seen on Raw and NXT this week (and will see again on Smackdown). WWE didn't do any of these videos (which in previous years they did quite abundantly) until last week. The problem is that the videos have had the purpose of hyping the following week's guest host for Raw. Therefore, instead of showing a different Recall on each show, they are showing the same on over and over again. By the third time seeing Kane tombstone Pete Rose, I was sick and tired of it.

All three matches on this edition of Superstars had their strengths. Benjamin vs. Kane was fine for a Kane match, and a good way to plug the MITB match at 'Mania. With the caliber of talent that appears on Superstars, that's really the only WM contest they can use first-run matches to get over. Benjamin and Kane both came out of the match looking pretty good, and it gave the announcers a chance to put over the MITB match.

The Bellas vs. Jillian & Katie Lea was surprisingly good. The Bellas looked the most comfortable they've ever looked in the ring. Katie Lea is a good hand in there for them to play off of as well. The main event was a high-energy finish to the show, with six former ECW guys involved in a Raw Superstars match. Like the first match, most everyone came out looking good, even as predictable as the finish was.
