Erik of Nashville, Tenn. (8.0): Best: Shelton vs. Zack Ryder. Worst: Yoshi vs. Regal. So, after Monday night's travesty of Sheamus getting a mega-push, WWE made a "right," as the deserving and one-of-a-kind talent, Shelton Benjamin, was put in line for a title match against the other top worker in ECW, Christian. I love it. Two of my absolute favorites left in the wrestling business facing off in a one-on-one Ladder Match at last. Thank goodness. Zeke turns face? Not bad since he was struggling and lingering in limbo with Kozlov. Yoshi continues to be protected, I see. Hoyt or Archer - he's got that Test vibe and no, that's not a compliment. I always despised the endless pushes that Test received. I love Rosa's heel antics, but Ryder is pretty darn boring. As usual, as I have grown accustomed to, Shelton carried the kid to another watchable match and the crowd was hotter for Shelton than anyone on the show, including Christian. That must irritate the Benjamin detractors that refuse to give him credit when they review the show.

Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (5.0): Best: Ryder vs. Benjamin. Worst: AW Show. Like Raw the previous night, the show started strong but was a sputter by the end. The Ryder-Benjamin match was one of the better ones in a while, but I'm already long sick of Rosa's presence. The post-match promo that followed was pretty sweet, and a nice follow-up would be the very highlight reel
that Christian spoke of. So by process of elimination, Undertaker
defends in a chairs match, since T, L, and TLC have been spoken
for. Archer gets another jobber. Okay, time to move forward. How
about some mic time? A few lines does not establish a character. The AW Show would have been so much better if it were just a plug for Scare Tactics featuring Matt Hardy. It did subtly plug Jeff's DVD and embarrass Washington, but I still could have done without it. Raw was saved by the contract signing segment (regardless of what I think of Sheamus's too-soon climb to the top sideswiping what was a nice strong push for Kofi Kingston). As for Jackson, he got his freedom. But freedom from what? He has yet to get over, judging by the dead response to Zeke slamming Kozlov and Regal. No save there.
