Brian Hoops, PWTorch.com Contributor:

I liked the hype leading up to the show as they did a great job of promoting the eight-man tag and the show overall. They couldn't help themselves on a show like this to do the stupid backstage skits, making a fool of Michael Cole or allowing everyone to get their one-liners in. I didn't think they did a very good job of hyping the PPV, which was only two days away. I didn't come away from this show wanting to see any of the matches or any grudges settled or have any reason to buy the PPV. The matches were all decent and the Rock's promo was great. The video tribute to Eddie Guerrero was very well done.

Jon Mezzera, PWTorch.com Contributor (7.0)

As I said in my Hits & Misses for Smackdown, this was a hard show to analyze and in the same way it was a hard show to grade. I liked how WWE made the anniversary special feel like a big deal, with the video montage at the beginning, a new opening video and song, and having the announcers welcome the fans from inside the ring instead of the announce table. That set the stage, and they continued making the show feel special with Smackdown moments, the Eddie Guerrero tribute, the party scenes, and the special message from The Rock. The first party scene was pretty funny and the last worked well as it ended in a fight between Drew McIntyre and R-Truth. The middle ones though were pretty bad, especially the scene where Michael Cole threw up on Chris Jericho.

The Rock's pre-taped promo was a lot of fun. I found the opening very amusing as he tried to find the right words. I really enjoyed the nostalgic feeling as he got into full Rock mode at that point. I can't wait to see him guest host Raw.

The highlight of the in ring action was clearly the eight-man tag main event which had a ton of star power. It also went over 20 minutes which was nice. There was good wrestling action throughout. They did a nice job of acknowledging the feud from earlier this year between Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker. It had a "send the fans home happy" ending with all the babyfaces hitting their finishers on the heels.

There were a few bad matches too. Batista vs. Kane was not good. I hated how the match was booked to have both Batista and Kane doing moves that they never normally do, just to set up a reversal for each other. That is ridiculous. I also hated the Lumberjill match. It was too short for a Title match that has been brewing for quite awhile. It wasn't good.

Greg Parks, PWTorch.com Contributor (8.0)

The backstage skits on this show were funnier than I've seen WWE pull off in a long time. Add to it the much-improved theme song to the show and a big feel to the show that usually isn't felt because of its taped nature, and this was enough to make the show a big success in my eyes. I mean, when you can make Michael Cole entertaining ("Vintage Shrimp!"), you've done your job.

Batista vs. Kane was about as good as you could expect. The return of Vickie Guerrero with Eric Escobar was interesting. The tag match pitting the US & IC champs and challengers against each other was pretty good, but could've used some hype ahead of time to really make it feel special. The Rock's promo was, yes, electrifying. Him as guest host of Raw would be a must-see. The Women's Title match was another that fell victim to lack of hype- they couldn't save it for a show where they weren't trying to get over a PPV and celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the show? Main event was your typical TV multi-man tag main event.
