WWE RAW REPORT
NOVEMBER 13, 2006
LIVE FROM MANCHESTER, ENGLAND

3 -- JOHN CENA vs. UMAGA

Cena threw some early punches, but Umaga came back. He applied a nerve hold. Cena made a comeback at 3:00 and got Umaga tied up in the ropes. Estrada protested on the ring apron, so Cena yanked him into the ring. Big Show then attacked Cena, prompting a DQ.

WINNER: Cena in 3:00 via DQ.

STAR RATING: 3/4* -- Fine while it lasted.

-Show and Umaga took turns splashing and crushing Cena. Ross sold it big time, and then noted that because Survivor Series is an elimination style match, it could legally come down to Cena against those two heels.

[Commercial Break]

-The replayed the Cena beating.

-Coach was backstage on his cell phone, telling someone (presumably Mr. McMahon) that no one had collected the bounty yet, but he said someone would. DX walked in. Coach looked worried. DX said he shouldn't fear them. They introduced a highlight video of DX fending off the bounty hunters during the show, with slapstick editing and Benny Hill theme music in the background. Hunter said he can't take it anymore, so he wins; they're leaving. Coach said if they leave, they're not coming back. Hunter said he had one question first. Hunter asked Coach if they get the ten grand because they "took themselves out." Coach said no. Meanwhile, Michaels stole the briefcase. DX left the building.

4 -- JOHNNY NITRO (w/Melina) vs. JEFF HARDY -- Intercontinental Title match

Grisham said he had to hand it to Nitro because he hangs out with A-list celebrities and has Melina. He said he'd like to be Nitro for just one night. Ross responded: "At my age, I'd like to be anybody for a day. I don't know if I could handle it." Grisham said he's never dated anyone as hot at Melina. His wife must love hearing that. Grisham said that Nitro told him that K-Fed, despite his problems at home, is still a big Nitro fan and is watching right now. After some back and forth action, Hardy dove onto Nitro at ringside before the break.

[Commercial Break]

Nitro had taken over control during the break. Grisham took on a pro-Nitro slant in his commentary. Nitro nailed Hardy with a roundkick to the face off the ropes. He followed with a chinlock. After Melina let out one of her screams, Grisham said, "Sometimes when you please a woman like that, she makes those noises. Not sure if you've heard anything like that." Ross said, "That's King stuff." Grisham said he's taken over his chair and maybe took on his persona. He apologized. At 8:00, Nitro crotched the top rope and then fell to the mat in pain. Hardy was slow to get up, so the ref began counting both men down. Hardy got up first and scored a near fall after a flurry on Nitro. Nitro avoided Hardy's attempt at Whisper in the Wind. He followed with a reverse powerbomb for a near fall. Nitro complained about a slow count to the ref. Hardy caught Nitro coming off the top rope and turned it into a powerbomb for a near fall. The crowd counted along, thinking that was three. Hardy followed up with a Swanton. Melina distracted the ref. "Ref, get away from that woman," yelled Ross. As Hardy leaned over the top rope to yell at Melina, Nitro snapped his neck over the top rope, then hit a neckbreaker, and finally came off the top rope with a sweet corkscrew moonsault. When he went for the pin, Hardy leveraged Nitro onto his shoulders instead and scored the pin. Grisham suggested it was a fast count by the ref. After the match, Nitro pulled a ladder out from under the ring and KO'd Hardy with it. Nitro then jumped off the top rope and drove the ladder over Hardy's chest.

WINNER: Hardy in 13:00 to capture the IC Title.

STAR RATING: *** - Good match and good Booking 101 post-match attack where the heel beats down the babyface, setting up a reason for the babyface wanting revenge (despite having won the match).

-They went outside where DX showed off the briefcase with the five thousand pounds in it. They thought about going back in the arena, but said the show is sold out. They saw "two scalpers" a few feet away and approached them. It turned out to be Cryme Tyme. Cryme Tyme did their schtick. Hunter said he didn't understand what they were saying. Michaels began talking like they do. Hunter couldn't believe what he was hearing. They offered up a pair of tickets for DX. Hunter offered up a wad of cash in exchange. Cryme Tyme danced and sang, "Money, money. Yeah, yeah."

-Ross and Grisham plugged the Orton & Edge challenge of Flair & Piper.

[Commercial Break]

-Backstage, Carlito was reading through the UK Sun. Torrie Wilson walked up to Carlito. He said he was just reading the sports section. Torrie introduced Carlito to a couple of UK Sun Girls. She invited him to party with them. Carlito said he couldn't because he had an early flight and his hotel was all the way across town. Torrie offered him a chance to stay her in her room. Carlito stammered and accepted. When they walked away, he said, "Cool."

-Ross and Grisham ran down the line-up for Survivor Series so far: Team Cena vs. Team Big Show, Booker vs. Batista for the World Title, Spirit Squad vs. Legends, Chris Benoit vs. Chavo Guerrero, Undertaker vs. Mr. Kennedy in a First Blood Match, Team DX vs. Team Rated RKO.

-DX were in the arena concourse at a concession stand as fans swarmed them. DX bought all of their t-shirts, then carried them into the crowd and threw them to fans.

[Commercial Break]

5 -- LITA vs. MICKIE JAMES

DX sat in the front row. Before the match, Lita said she had some good news and some bad news. Lita said the good news was she wouldn't have one hand tied behind her back this week. The bad news is she'd have her legs shackled together. Coach brought shackles to the ring. The ref shackled her ankles together. Lita said she doesn't look happy, then laughed. Mickie said, "After the match, I'll be sure to give these to you because everyone knows, you're the one who needs her legs together." Lita attacked Mickie immediately. Ross asked how Coachman could be proud of himself. Grisham said he likes getting a paycheck. Hunter held up a huge sausage and led the crowd in chanting, "Ho! Ho!" Lita jumped to ringside and got in Hunter's face. She yanked the sausage away from him and shoved him. Hunter sprayed mustard in her face. LIta rolled back into the ring. Mickie nailed her with the sausage, shoved it out of the ring, and then gave her a DDT for the win. "I don't know if that's the first time Mickie James has been hit in the face with a sausage, but I bet it never hurt that bad," said Grisham.

WINNER: James in 3:00.

STAR RATING: 1/4* -- Not much wrestling, but the finish was memorable.

-Randy Orton and Edge came out to Edge's music and taunted DX. Coach got in DX's faces and told them to leave the arena. They showed him their tickets. Coach called for security. Edge waved good bye.

-A commercial aired for the Roddy Piper DVD.

[Commercial Break]

-They announced Nitro would challenge Hardy for the IC Title match next Monday night in a ladder match. Hey, they announced a match for next week's show on this week's show! That's new.

6 -- RODDY PIPER & RIC FLAIR vs. EDGE & RANDY ORTON -- World Tag Team Title match

Piper came out first, and Edge and Orton went after him at ringside. Piper threw a series of punches that missed Orton, but Orton sold them anyway. Flair ran out to even the odds. Edge gave Piper a conchairto at ringside. Flair dove on Piper to protect him. Piper wasn't moving. Flair began the match without a partner. Doctors came to ringside to check on Piper. At 2:00 Orton suplexed Flair at ringside. The fans held up a really long "Wooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" sign in the background. Edge tagged in and did a mock Flair strut. He drove his knee into Flair's back and applied a chinlock. Ross brought up the plane crash. Grisham said that was 50 years ago. Ross said it wasn't that long ago. Piper was helped to the back. Ross said they'd update his condition if they received word. Flair low-blowed Orton when the ref wasn't looking. The heels beat on Flair two-on-one a minute later, but Flair still went for a figure-four. Edge speared him, though, leading to the three count.

WINNERS: Edge & Orton in 5:00 to capture the World Tag Team Titles.

STAR RATING: *

-DX ran to the ring as Orton & Edge celebrated. Security entered the ring, but DX easily fended them off with their equivalent of bionic elbows. Edge and Orton stood on the stage watching, holding up their newly won tag straps.
