ECW ON SCI-FI
OCTOBER 31, 2006
TAPED IN MILWAUKEE,WISC.
AIRED ON SCI-FI NETWORK

-Clips aired of last week's RVD vs. Big Show ladder match, with RVD winning an ECW Title shot. Then they cut to Paul Heyman standing backstage and announcing that "much to his chagrin," RVD won the right to pick the time and place to face Big Show for the ECW Title. He said at ECW.com this week, RVD named the date and place - December to Dismember on PPV on Dec. 3. He said conspicuous by its absence in this contract were the stipulations of the match. "Those stipulations, of course, fall under my good judgment," said a self-satisfied Heyman. He said RVD and Show will be two of six competitors on the first-ever Extreme Elimination Chamber (EEC).

-The ECW opening aired. Then Joey Styles & Tazz introduced the show, plugging Big Show & Test vs. RVD & Hardcore Holly.

1 -- KEVIN THORN (w/Areal) vs. SABU -- Qualifying Match for EEC match

Sabu knocked Thorn out of the ring and then flipped over the top rope onto him. Back in the ring, Thorn took over by throwing Sabu shoulder-first into the ringpost. "Do you think Halloween is the only day of the year people don't stare at Kevin Thorn and Areal?" asked Styles. He plugged an article on ECW.com where Thorn rates the best vampires in cinema history. Sabu came back with a DDT off the ropes to take over. He followed with a flip legdrop and then a camel clutch forcing a tapout.

WINNER: Sabu in 5:00.

STAR RATING: *

-Rebecca interviewed Sandman regarding the potential of facing Umaga at Cyber Sunday. A clown interrupted the interview. Sandman laughed, then caned the clown."I hate clowns," he said.

-Styles and Tazz plugged the Diva Costume Contest coming up later.

[Commercial Break]

-Tazz presented Styles with a gift. "I hope it fits," said Tazz, as Styles pulled a noose out of a brown paper bag. Tazz seems like the type who would give gifts in brown paper bags.

2 -- DAIVARI (w/Great Khali) vs. SHANNON MOORE

Moore went "nipples to nose" with Khali during the prematch staredown. Daivari got the early advantage with a cheap shot forearm to Moore before the bell. Moore made a comeback at 1:00. Daivari came back quickly and finished Moore with a DDT. Daivari chokeslammed Moore after the match.

WINNER: Daivari at 1:30.

STAR RATING: 1/4* -- Short squash. Surprising to see Moore used again as just a jobber. Not sure where they're going with pushing Daivari in a win the week Khali debuted.

-Rebecca interviewed RVD backstage. He said he doesn't even know what an Extreme Elimination Chamber match is, "but it sounds as if it's something I'd be pretty good at." He said he thinks he'll walk out as champion. Hardcore Holly walked into the picture and told RVD that he got a huge gash on his back due to his hardcore style, but tonight he's got his back in a tag match.

[Commercial Break]

-ECW Diva Costume Contest: Kelly Kelly, Areal, and Trinity came out. Areal was dressed as usual. Kelly dressed up as C.M. Punk. Trinity won because she had nothing but a caution tape wrapped around her breasts. Mike Knox then entered the ring and cornered Kelly. C.M. Punk jumped Knox from behind. He threw some hard knees Anderson Silva style, knocking him to the floor. Knox walked away, leaving Kelly alone in the ring with Punk. Kelly had a big smile on her face.

[Commercial Break]

-After replaying highlights of the previous segment, Knox cut a promo backstage. Knox said Punk "can't hide from this fight anymore." He issued a challenge for a one-on-one match next week.

-Ring intros took place for the main event, babyfaces first. Test looks like he swallowed a car tire and it's stuck around his ribcage. It's all muscles, but it's unnerving and unnatural looking. Big Show looked like he was crying on his way to the ring for some reason.

[Commercial Break]

1 -- ROB VAN DAM & HARDCORE HOLLY vs. TEST & BIG SHOW

The crowd chanted for RVD to start the match, so before the first lock-up, Holly tagged in RVD. RVD got the better of Test. Show trash-talked RVD. Holly tagged in against Test and pounded away at him in the corner. Tazz and Styles wondered what an Extreme Elimination Chamber match entailed. RVD charged at Test, but Test hit him with a forearm to knock him backward. Test then hit Holly off the ring apron. RVD then surprised Test with a dove, sending both to the floor. They cut to a break at 5:00.

[Commercial Break]

-They aired a clip promoting C.M. Punk's guest appearance on "Ghost Hunters" after ECW on Sci-Fi.

Back in the ring, RVD continued to beat on Test until Test surprised RVD with a clothesline out of the corner. Test mocked RVD's celebratory self-shoulder pointing (is there a better way to describe that?). RVD hot-tagged Holly at 11:00, but Test then immediately tagged in Show. Holly threw a series of kicks at Show's knees. Show fired back with a clothesline, then a hard chop in the corner. Test tagged back in at 13:00 and continued to work over Holly. At 15:00, Show tagged back and tossed Holly into the corner and set up the Zumhoff corner swing-splash. Holly moved, and Show grabbed at his knee. At 16:00 Holly hot-tagged RVD, who sweeped Show off of his feet. He followed with a flip splash onto Show off the top rope, then Rolling Thunder. Test interrupted RVD's pin attempt. Holly charged into the ring. Four-way action broke out. Show dropped RVD's head over the top rope with a Snake Eyes. The ref got knocked down. Holly then gave Test an Alabama Slam. Show gave Holly a big boot. RVD hit Show with a sidekick off the top rope. Show rolled to the floor and yanked RVD out of the ring. RVD shoved Show into the ringpost. A man in a gorilla suit hit RVD from behind with a pipe. A limp RVD was dragged back into the ring by Show. Show then chokeslammed him. The ref came to just in time to count the pin. The gorilla revealed himself to be Paul Heyman with a sinister smile afterward.

WINNER: Big Show in 19:00.

STAR RATING: *1/4 -- Test having to carry a 19 minute match is dangerous. Holly and RVD took turns selling for extended stretches. Not good, but not terribly bad.
