RAW REPORT
FEBRUARY 13, 2006
LIVE FROM GREENSBORO N.C.
REPORT BY ERIK LAUNIAINEN, TORCH VIP MEMBER

Vince and his lawyers were already in the ring with a desk and the retirement papers. Vince announced Shawn Michaels "for the last time", and HBK came out to a great reaction. Vince went through all of Michael's nicknames before calling him "the single biggest pain in the ass I've ever experience in my life!" Did Michaels ever hold a gun to Vince's head and make him pee his pants?

Vince introduced the Spirit Squad who had a special sendoff for Michaels. It was hard to hear at times and terribly choreographed, but the message was that Michaels would not be missed.

As Michaels sat down to sign the papers his stalling worked the crowd into a mild frenzy. Eventually HBK told Vince this isn't what he wants. Vince yelled for his mic to be cut. He told Michaels that he resented his inner peace and then went into a crazy, crazy promo. Vince yelled about having an insatiable appetite for life, always wanting MORE MORE MORE! He outlined his problems and how stressful his life is. It seemed like he was venting a lot of personal stuff while he was at it. Michaels ripped up the papers in Vince's face and got slapped by Mr. McMahon for the insult. Shawn tossed the table aside and wanted to fight, but Vince left the ring.

An absolutely top notch video package aired of Bret Hart's accomplishments and said he'd be inducted April 1st into the WWE Hall of Fame.

4 -- CHRIS MASTERS vs. ROB VAN DAM

Masters mocked RVD with a "MASTER PIECE" shoulder point. Pretty funny. It was RVD's kicks against Masters' power offense. In a cool and kind of scary spot Masters sent RVD from the apron all the way into the front row of fans. Masters got RVD in a torture rack, but RVD escaped and got a two count pinning combination. More kicks from RVD, including one while both were on the middle rope. RVD 5 Stared the Masterpiece for the clean win.

WINNER: RVD at 5:20.

STAR RATING: *1/2 -- A little clunky, and not all because of Masters. The crowd wasn't very in to the first 5 minutes.

Jack was knocking on Trish's dressing room door backstage. He approached a woman in a platinum blonde wig, somehow assuming it was Trish. Shockingly it was Mickey who backed the stunned Jack into a wall and told him she was Trish's best friend and that "friends share." Jack wasn't into it at all and so Mickey asked why he was coming on to her. She then tore off her wig and ripped her shirt, all the while screaming for Jack to stop and get away from her. Instead of leaving Jack tried to calm her down, and that's when security dragged him away. Mickey made a crazy, self satisfied smile. Luckily for her no one was filming this.

[Commercial Break]

A video package of Stacy on Dancing With The Stars aired showing her complete domination.

Backstage Mickey was being tended to when Trish showed up. Mickey told her story which the clueless security guard backed up based on what little he saw at the end. Trish seemed to believe Mickey. Mickey said she was just glad it happened to her rather than to Trish later on in her relationship with Jack.

A recap of last week's events aired highlighting how we got to this title match, which was next.

Foley came out to an alright pop from the North Carolina fans.

[Commercial Break]

5 -- Edge (w/Lita) vs. John Cena for the WWE Championship (w/ Mick Foley as special ref)

Cena came out to a good pop which was described by Styles as "deafening as always". A crowd shot showed many men with their arms folded as Cena freaked out on his way to the ring.

Cena opened up the offense with a side slam. Coach wondered about Foley's intentions and said we may see a "fourth face of Foley" tonight.

[Commercial Break]

Cena hit a surprising fisherman's suplex on Edge and followed up with a headlock that he kept interesting with a lot of intensity. Edge came back with a standing dropkick that showed a lot of light thanks to Cena. Edge riled up the crowd by doing Cena's "you can't see me" gesture. After fighting on the top rope Cena pushed Edge off and hit a weak top rope splash. You could tell it was his first time. Edge told Lita to take the top turnbuckle off, but Foley caught her in the act and ordered her to the back. She threw a funny tantrum while Cena sang the goodbye song alone.

[Commercial Break]

They showed clips of some nice action that occurred during the break including a baseball slide by Edge. Edge went for a pin on Cena but Foley was late on the count and only got to two. Coach was freaking out and you could hear Foley say: "I was late on that one, Coach". Edge powerbombed Cena and got his feet on the top rope for leverage but Foley saw it in time. Edge pushed Foley and Cena got him in the FU position. Edge reversed it into the Edgecution DDT but only got a two count. Edge tried the spear but missed and Cena had him in the FU again. Edge escaped and knocked Cena into Foley who flew out of the ring.

Cena applied the STFU and Edge tapped but Foley was still on the outside. Lita ran back in and hit Cena who went after her. Edge used the distraction to get the advantage and told Lita to get the belt. Edge nailed Cena with the gold but Foley was slow to get back in the ring, even with Lita's help. Edge got frustrated and stupidly argued with Foley before going for the pin again. Cena kicked out at two. Edge went for a top rope cross body but Cena caught him in mid air and hoisted him up for the FU which he finally hit.

WINNER: John Cena at approx. 17:30.

STAR RATING: ***1/4. Exciting title match.

Lita low blowed Foley and Edge speared him for making the biggest mistake of his life.
