TNA Impact News & Notes 5/29

- Kurt Angle retained the TNA World Title over Eric Young in an I Quit match. This followed a show-opening brawl in the parking lot that led to security escorting both men to the ring for the main event title match.

- The Wolves beat Austin Aries & Bobby Roode in Match #2 of their Best-of-Five Series for the vacant Tag Titles. Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards are now up 2-0 on Aries & Roode.

- Rockstar Spud captured the X Division Title by winning a multi-man gauntlet battle royal match. Spud, who started the match first, pinned incumbent champion Kenny King to win the title.

Also in the match were Manik, D.J. Zema Ion, Mandrews, Argos from AAA in Mexico, Crazzy Steve, and Tigre Uno.

- In the Knockouts division, Taryn Terrell beat Gail Kim in a steel cage match to retain the Knockouts Title. The cage was compromised with The Dollhouse's Jade & Marti Belle interfering prior to the finish of the match.

- Also from the Knockouts division, Mickie James continued to tease having one more match against an unspecified opponent.

Plus, The Beautiful People continued their program re-introducing Velvet Sky, who is "fired" in TV storylines. Sky hopped the guardrail and attacked Angelina Love before security intervened.

- Al Snow joined Josh Mathews in the TV broadcast booth.

- At different points during the show, the announcers talked about Impact moving to Wednesday nights starting next week. There were also a few graphics during the show highlighting the move.

Impact then went off the air with a plug for next Wednesday's show featuring Match #3 in the Tag Title series, Rockstar Spud deciding whether to cash in the X Title, and the Beautiful People continuing their issues.
