5/3 Update: Jeff Hardy appeared at Saturday's OMEGA Wrestling event in Cameron, N.C. a few days removed from reported surgery.

One photo tweeted by OMEGA shows Hardy signing autographs from a wheelchair while supported by brother Matt. Jeff, who was scheduled to defend the OMEGA Title, relinquished the promotion's top title. Trevor Lee then became new champion.

5/1 Update: Jeff Hardy is scheduled to appear at the OMEGA Wrestling event Saturday in Cameron, N.C.

According to Hurricane Helms, Hardy will be at the event "despite being only a few short days away from having a titanium rod surgically inserted into his leg."

Jeff, who was scheduled to defend the OMEGA Title, is now scheduled for a meet & greet at the event. [ Event Info HERE ]

4/29 Update: Jeff Hardy is scheduled for surgery on Wednesday, according to TNA president Dixie Carter.

"@JEFFHARDYBRAND is resting comfortably. Broke his Tibia bone. Having surgery later today to repair it. Thx for all ur well wishes for him," Carter tweeted.

Brother Matt Hardy also tweeted: "Unfortunately, Jeff will be joining the surgery club with myself & @ShaneHelmsCom today. Thanks for all your support, #SocialMediaFamily."

Hardy has not been officially ruled out for the OMEGA Wrestling event Saturday in Cameron, N.C., but it appears highly unlikely that he will be able to wrestle.

TNA tag champion Jeff Hardy suffered a broken leg in a recent dirt bike accident, according to TNA president Dixie Carter.

Carter tweeted Tuesday night: "@JEFFHARDYBRAND just suffered a broken leg in a dirt bike accident. Will provide more details once they are known."

TNA later released video purported to be Hardy crashing hard on an attempted jump.

The handheld video shows the bike rider setting up for a jump, then missing the landing spot, and smashing into the dirt. "Oh s---," the video operator shouted before running toward the crash.

TNA has not released details yet on the severity of the reported injury.

On the independents, Hardy is scheduled to defend the OMEGA Title this Saturday, May 2 in Cameron, N.C.

The following was posted on the OMEGA Twitter account: "Today @JEFFHARDYBRAND injured his leg in a dirt bike accident. Updates soon but our thoughts are with Jeff." Also scheduled for the show are Matt Hardy and Hurricane Helms.
