Former WWE/TNA star Matt Morgan says he will be back on a nationally-televised wrestling show by the end of the year.

"I know exactly what I'll be doing and where I'll be heading and when I'll be doing that," Morgan told Brian Fritz of BetweentheRopes.com in a long-form interview covering his career. Asked if he will return to national TV before the end of the year, Morgan replied, "Yes."

Morgan, 37, noted that at this stage of his wrestling career, he's looking for consistency as opposed to bouncing around from feud to feud or singles to tag team during his most-recent TNA run.

Morgan did not say whether he feels that would be best achieved returning to WWE or TNA, but he noted that he looks at WWE having "a bazillion and one match-ups for me" to work with since it's been several years since he last worked for WWE.

"I think I would be a hell of addition to that roster adding some freshness and adding a big man who could go the next 5-8-years if needed," Morgan said.

Morgan added that he believes he would be durable on the full-time WWE schedule, he has no injuries, he's sober, and he's done his own social programs, such as anti-bullying, D.A.R.E., and speaking about his addiction recovery.

- Included was a discussion of Kurt Angle's recent rehab attempting to recovery from addiction issues. Morgan said he would recommend Angle work with the mentality that he is willing to not wrestle again in order to get clean.

"I will do whatever it takes to be sober. It has to come before everything, and that included the business," Morgan said of his mentality 6-7 years ago when he decided to get clean. "I had it in my head that I was done with wrestling at that point in 2007."

Morgan said Angle's predicament is he's currently a big TV star on TNA television. "You can't put a timetable on getting back in the ring," Morgan said of Angle's situation. He added that TNA president Dixie Carter wouldn't put him back in the ring if he is not ready.

- Regarding Hulk Hogan's future, Morgan said he's friends with Hogan and believes Hogan will eventually return to WWE. Morgan he believes this because Hogan made his name in WWE, WWE has changed since Hogan was last with WWE, and Hogan could be a valuable face for WWE Network when the Network launches.

- Morgan said he's pursuing outside-of-wrestling projects, including having "just auditioned" for the popular "Walking Dead" show. Morgan added that he will be appearing on some upcoming Disney shows.

Next up, Morgan says he's traveling to Los Angeles with his manager to pitch a reality show idea. Morgan said these are opportunities he wouldn't be able to pursue while full-time in wrestling.
