In a handful of media interviews promoting the "Against All Odds" PPV on Sunday, TNA wrestler Samoa Joe said all the right things when discussing his up-and-down TNA career over the past four years since winning the TNA World Title. Joe put the responsibility on himself to fix the issues, rather than pointing to management.

-- Joe told syndicated columnist Alex Marvez on ScrippsNews.com that he believes he's at the "midway point" of his career and he feels "pretty positive" about earning more accolades in the future. As for TNA's up-and-down booking, Joe said he believes he's ultimately "responsible for my own fate and destiny."

"As far as the past few years, there have been rocky points at times. At the same time, I defy anybody to find a wrestling career that was picture-perfect all the way through. It's a marathon, not a race, and I'm willing to complete it," Joe said. He added that he would be wasting his time complaining "instead of doing things on my end to try and fix it."

-- In an interview with Guru Magazine from the recent U.K. Tour, Joe talked about wanting to return to the TNA World Title picture, which would be four years after his 2008 run following his famous Lockdown PPV title victory over Kurt Angle.

“The proudest moment of my career so far was winning the World Heavyweight Championship for a bevy of reasons, but first and foremost that it was from an athlete that is world-renowned and world class and one of the very best in the game," Joe said. "I look forward to replicating that success in the future."

Joe has the backing of current TNA World champion Robert Roode, who said on the PWTorch Livecast last month that Joe is one wrestler on the roster he would like to work with during his current title reign.

-- In an interview with Slam Wrestling , Joe talked about trying to regain TNA gold with Magnus when they challenge for the TNA Tag Titles at the PPV on Sunday. He pointed to a potential title victory as a stepping stone back to the TNA Title picture.

"It's his hunger to show the world what he's capable of and me needing to remind the world of what I'm capable of and who I am," Joe said. "Once I get hot, I don't get un-hot. I just keep going until either I explode or I get suspended or fined. That's the way I run. It takes a lot to get me out of the picture."
