The following are news and notes from this week's Impact TV tapings, including some SPOILER items for the next two episodes of Impact on February 17 and 24.
-- Following the model of the heavily-promoted February 3 Impact episode, TNA plans to produce a PPV-level show on the March 3 Impact, which will be taped next Thursday in Fayetteville, N.C.
TNA is looking to take it a step further than the Feb. 3 Impact. The idea is to turn out a mini-PPV with top matches incorporated into Hulk Hogan's TV return, the resolution of the courtroom angle with Hogan and Dixie Carter, and the Jarrett wedding ceremony.
-- TNA's next PPV, Victory Road in March, will be similar to the Against All Odds PPV with a make-shift line-up following the heavily-promoted Mar. 3 Impact. TNA's bigger PPV priority is Lockdown in April, where they will be on the road in Cincinnati.
-- Jason Hervey, of Bischoff-Hervey Entertainment, was backstage at the Impact tapings shooting "Reaction-style" footage. Hervey had not been at TV tapings since TNA's "Reaction" show ceased airing on Spike TV at the end of 2010. TNA is looking to continue utilizing Reaction-style footage on Impact broadcasts.
-- Isis the Amazon, who was scheduled for WWE's NXT Season 3 as Aloisa, wrestled a dark match at Tuesday's Impact taping. Sources say there was backstage heat on Isis for how she carried herself as if she were already a big star in pro wrestling.
Also, the Knockouts collectively made it clear backstage they would not want to work with Isis if TNA signed her. "I've never seen a guy or a girl rub the locker room this much the wrong way," says one source.
-- ODB and Traci Brooks will be returning to TV on the next two episodes for what are believed to be short-term roles. ODB was brought in to lose to Knockouts champion Madison Rayne on next week's Impact since TNA is short on babyface Knockouts to feed to Rayne.
Brooks will be returning on this week's episode for a short-term feud vs. Cookie as part of Kazarian's X Division feud against Robbie E.
-- Brother Devon's sons, Terrence and Terrell, were said to be very proud of their role in Devon and Bully Ray's "match" at the Against All Odds PPV. Both are legitimate athletes and appear to have the "itch" to want to be involved in pro wrestling.
