-- TNA president Dixie Carter said today that TNA and Scott Hall parted ways so Hall could "take care of personal issues." At Monday's TV taping, Hall was told he was released by the company.

"Scott Hall and I talked and together decided he needed time to focus on some personal issues. I am proud of the action he is taking," Carter said on Twitter.

The "personal issues" Hall has to take care of include an upcoming court date following his arrest at a bar outside of Orlando last month. Hall also has "personal issues" pre-dating his TNA days that he brought with him to TNA when he returned to the company on January 4.

-- Eric Bischoff acknowledged TNA's tough competition on TV tonight up against Game 7 of the NBA Finals between the Lakers and Celtics. Bischoff is selling a positive view that it's "good company to be in" tonight.

"Only been four Game 7 NBA series in that last 30 years. LA and Boston are arguably two of the biggest legacy franchises in the NBA," Bischoff said on his Facebook page. "If TNA is head to head with competition, tonight's game is good company to be in competition with. Check out TNA tonight on Spike TV!"

Two weeks ago against Game 1 of the NBA Finals, TNA Impact drew one of its all-time low ratings on Thursday nights. The show gained nearly 15 percent last week, which was up against Game 4 of the Finals.

It appears TNA is trying to set low expectations for the ratings tonight in case the show comes in at the "Game 1 level" so they have the built-in reason for a ratings drop.

TNA has struggled to rebuild their audience on Thursday nights after their attempted run on Monday nights. Impact averaged a 1.22 rating on Thursday nights from January 14 to March 4. Since returning to Thursdays on May 13, the show has averaged a 0.94 rating.

-- Hulk Hogan is now a spokesman for 1-800-LoanMart. The car loan company issued a press release announcing Hogan as the new voice and face of the company. Radio and TV ads will begin running in July.
