Hulk Hogan's segment on Fox News's "Fox & Friends" show this morning started with a 1990s WCW clip of Hogan vs. Ric Flair, followed by clips from last week's Impact when Flair cut a promo on Hogan to set up their return tag match on March 8.

During the segment, Hogan talked about himself and his journey back to running TNA, with no mentions of Abyss or TNA World Hvt. champion A.J. Styles, who will also be in the tag match.

Hogan was asked to compare his career to Mickey Rourke's character in "The Wrestler." Hogan, who has claimed he turned down the role before Rourke took the part, said the movie was a mere snapshot of what some former wrestling stars become.

"It's kind of like that, but that's a small snapshot of most of the guys," Hogan said. "Most of the guys who are past their prime and wrestle in high schools on the weekend make 4 or 5 grand. There's a couple guys who end up like that, but that's not the big picture of this business."

Hogan was asked why he went back to the business if it ravaged his body. He talked about being addicted to the business and wanting to work with TNA president Dixie Carter and the talent on the roster to "make history."

Hogan was asked about being offered a 25-year contract with WWE and Hogan said the opportunity came up with TNA to "feel young again." He said he knew the "end of the story with WWE, but this is life after life with TNA."

Caldwell's Analysis: Hogan didn't quite get there, but he hinted during the interview that he has a certain lifestyle standard that he wants to maintain after doling out money with a divorce settlement and Nick Hogan's car accident settlement. The bottom line on why he's with TNA is that he didn't want to give WWE control of his sources of income - the "Hulk Hogan" and "Hulkamania" trademarks - but he needed to make money again in the wrestling business.
