TNA News: Former X Division champion asked for release, more details on A.J. Styles-Vince Russo argument Nov 2, 2009 - 2:44:09 PM
Former X Division champion Kazarian (who plays the Suicide character) reportedly asked for his release from TNA due to creative frustrations at the previous set of Impact tapings. However, A.J. Styles and Christopher Daniels smoothed things over temporarily and Kazarian remains with the company, reports Jason Powell of Prowrestling.net.
As we reported in the most-recent Torch Newsletter cover story, TNA World champ A.J. Styles had an argument with TNA's creative head Vince Russo at the last TV tapings. Powell reports that the source of the argument was Russo confronting Styles after he heard that the champ requested a wrestler added to the creative team.
During the confrontation, Styles shot back that Russo hasn't scripted him to look strong as company champion since he was booked to win the World Title from Sting at the Bound for Glory PPV.
The following is our report from the cover story of the most-recent Torch Newsletter: "Styles let loose on Russo for what he argued was dismal booking of him early in his run as champion, including making him look weak as champion. He also apparently wasn't happy with other aspects of how he was booked at the PPV or the subsequent TV tapings."
