TNA News: Mick Foley to miss next TNA Impact taping; discusses phone call from TNA president on Hulk Hogan's signing Oct 29, 2009 - 12:48:07 AM
TNA wrestler Mick Foley will be missing the next TNA Impact taping scheduled for Monday, November 2 to appear at a comedy club in New York doing his stand-up routine. As a result, Foley will be off the Thursday, November 5 edition of TNA Impact.
Foley said on his MySpace page that he will be appearing at the next day's Impact taping on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Tuesday's taping will be for the Nov. 12 edition of Impact leading to the Turning Point PPV on November 15.
Foley's comedy club appearance is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 2 at Gotham Comedy Club in New York City. ROH wrestler Colt Cabana is also scheduled to appear.
"I know that TNA is taping 'Impact' on November 2nd, but because I had the show at Gotham booked first, I will be missing the TNA taping and doing the Gotham show as scheduled," Foley said.
Foley also said he received a personal phone call from TNA president Dixie Carter yesterday informing him that TNA had signed Hulk Hogan. Foley says he had just dropped off a book to be signed by Hogan at a New York bookstore prior to even knowing Hogan would be joining TNA.
