TNA Knockout Tara and MMA fighter Kim Couture are playing up their skirmish at the Bound for Glory PPV as a shoot after Tara and Couture shoved each other in the middle of the Knockouts Title match on Sunday.

Both told Fanhouse.com that the script called for a mid-match staredown between Tara and Couture, who said TNA invited her to the PPV in California.

A TNA source tells the Torch, however, that the ringside fight closely followed the script. It looked like a typical "work/shoot" angle that TNA head writer Vince Russo has regularly scripted during his career.

"I don't know if she was in character or if it was adrenaline. I don't know what it was," Couture claimed to Fanhouse.com after Tara shoved her and she retaliated by trying to start a fight.

"I'm not just going to stand there and look dumb. I didn't know what she was going to do," she added. "So I kind of grabbed a hold of her, and it seems like as soon as we put our hands on each other security broke us up."

Tara says she felt a shove when she was on the floor during the match. She then reacted because she claims she's not used to being touched by fans during a match. That seems odd since fans frequently touch wrestlers on the floor during matches.

"At first I thought, 'Was that a fan or what?', because they're not supposed to touch us at all. I turned around, because that doesn't happen, and I just went after her. I was like, 'Are you kidding me?'" Tara said.

During the PPV broadcast, Tara bailed from the ring and left through the stands to the backstage area. ODB and Awesome Kong played the part of dumbfounded wrestlers unsure what to do next with Tara out of the match.

Tara then returned to the match a short time later. She claims she was yelled at by TNA management for shoving a guest of the promotion and told to return to the ring to finish the match.

Tara said she doesn't want her MMA career to start off this way by being involved with an MMA fighter before she's even had her first professional fight. "I'm a little embarrassed. I'll be honest with you. I didn't want that to happen," she said.
