ROH "All-Star Extravaganza" Live Report
September 18, 2015
San Antonio, Tex.
Report by Kevin Holloran, PWTorch correspondent

- Dark Match: Watanabe & Will Ferrara beat Donovan Dijak & "Unholy" Gregory James (w/Truth Martini). Martini opened with a promo about how important the House of Truth is and how important tonight is. Decent back and forth match. Watanabe got the fall over James in about five minutes. After the match, Truth let the crowd decide if James deserves a spot in the H.O.T. and then Donovan Dijak took him out.

- For the live PPV, I was sitting in the Sinclair Section and a loud "Todd" chant started things off. He came out just before going live.

(1) Jay Lethal beat Bobby Fish to retain the ROH TV Title. Great opener and super-hot crowd! Not much to be said. I didn't expect less and Lethal retained with a hand-full of tights.

(2) Silas Young beat Dalton Castle. "The boys" and Castle were way over here. The crowd wasn't happy he lost the boys, and neither was Dalton.

- Next was the big reveal of the Briscoes's opponents. First out was Romantic Touch. He was quickly disposed of and here came The All Night Express! Very surprising since he's in TNA, but apparently he doesn't have an exclusive contract.

(3) Kenny King & Rhett Titus beat The Briscoes. The crowd was 50/50 for both teams. After the match, there was a loud "Welcome back" chant, which King acknowledged and said thank you.

(4) Moose beat Cedric Alexander. The crowd was hot for all of the No DQ match. The ending spots were awesome with part of the table flying out of the ring towards the corner where Moose started for his finishing spear. Great spot love.

After that hot match was the slow-paced A.C.H. vs. Matt Sydal match.

(5) A.C.H. beat Matt Sydal. Not sure how it came off on TV, but Sydal seemed to play a more heel role and I enjoyed it. The crowd was solidly behind A.C.H. in his home state.

(6) The Kingdom beat The Addiction and Young Bucks for the ROH Tag Titles. Wow. That's all I can say. Phenomenal match. The "suck it" party was loud in-person. So far, this was match of the night.

(7) A.J. Styles beat Michael Elgin, Adam Cole, and Roderick Strong. The crowd was split between Roderick, A.J., and Cole. "This is awesome" was heard as the bell rang. Wonderful match with a hot crowd throughout. The end seemed off as Elgin got pinned by Cole, but the ref said it was only two when it was clearly three. Aside from that, wonderfully put together and the right guy won, in my opinion.

(8) Jay Lethal beat Kyle O'Reilly to retain the ROH Title. I really enjoyed this match, but the crowd seemed quiet in contrast to rest of the show. The finish was what it was, but when Cole kicked O'Reilly the crowd really got into it.

After the show ended, there was a loud "Kingdom Sucks" chant after Steve Corino and Kevin Kelly took off the headsets. Kyle left to a loud "O'Reilly" chant as he was helped to the back by Bobby Fish.

Overall, a fun show with a couple of nice surprises.
