At the exact time that TNA was set to hold a conference call with talent, Ring of Honor issued a formal press release announcing details on their TV deal with Destination America.

Notably, ROH announced that Dest. America picked up ROH TV for 26 weeks beginning next Wednesday, June 3 at 8:00 p.m. EST.

The trial period gives Dest. America a chance to evaluate ROH's audience to decide whether to commit for longer than one-half year.

The scheduling format will be the weekly ROH TV show airs on Sinclair Broadcasting & other syndication affiliates over the weekend, then Dest. America airs the same episode three days later on Wednesdays.

The 26-week period ends in December, which would also give Dest. America enough time to build up the ROH brand in the event that it replaces TNA Wrestling. Dest. America has reportedly marked the start of the next TV season in September to potentially remove Impact from the schedule.

“We are very excited to be partnering with Destination America for the broader distribution of the ROH programming," said ROH COO Joe Koff in their press release. “ROH will now reach an additional 57 million households including those in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, and other large cities where Ring of Honor is not currently airing."

Koff added, "With this great partnership with Destination America, we can continue to expand our footprint and reach while producing entertaining, original content and continuing to provide wrestling fans some of the best wrestling content available."

Caldwell's Analysis: Right now, it sounds like Dest. America is just going to air the ROH episodes that already would have aired on syndication. But, will this partnership eventually lead to an increase in production value to bring the presentation of the product to the next level? That remains to be seen, especially with Dest. America committing to a trial period up-front.
