9/18 ROH Live Event Update: Look ahead to this weekend's Bryan Danielson Final Countdown Tour Sep 18, 2009 - 4:11:10 PM
-- Ring of Honor runs through the Midwest this weekend with shows in Dayton, Ohio tonight and Chicago on Saturday. The shows are centered on the Bryan Danielson Final Countdown Tour before he departs ROH for WWE.
Danielson will be in one of the featured matches tonight against Chris Hero before challenging ROH champion Austin Aries for the ROH Title on Saturday night in Chicago. Danielson's fellow departee, Nigel McGuinness, will not be wrestling this weekend, but he will be on the Chicago show signing autographs with Danielson. WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart is also scheduled for the Saturday show in Chicago.
Other top matches this weekend include the Young Bucks vs. the Briscoes in a "tag team dream match" on tonight's show in Dayton. Former TNA wrestler Petey Williams will also be in action in a tag match with Colt Cabana against ROH champ Austin Aries and Rhett Titus tonight.
