First, an update on my internet admirer. I have learned this person is between 19 and 23, and has fewer than two vowels in their name. Still no news on whether my admirer is a he or a she, which makes me a little nervous. Further updates as events warrant.
And if you missed it, you can check out my review of the Haas Cup tag team event promoted by Phoenix Championship Wrestling at Murphy's Archives. If you don't want to read the whole review, I'll give my capsule summary here: very good tape, good quality wrestling, and some of the best production I've seen on an indy video. An excellent tape from PCW.
For those of you who don't normally read the indy previews section at the bottom, there are a couple big names in shows being promoted right now. NFW out of Wisconsin is running a show with Darryl from Tough Enough, Lenny Lane, and Jim Neidhart, and Hoosier Pro Wrestling is promoting a show with Rocky Johnson. If you're in the area of either promotion and are interested in any of those folks, check them out.
Also, I wanted to take a minute to send my kudos out to all the indy wrestlers out there who are involved in charity shows and the other civic-minded events they participate in. For the bad rap wrestlers and wrestling fans get in the media, there are a lot of good ones out there who go a lot of good things.
And the usual note to send all concise indy news notes, results, and feedback to me at indynews@pwtorch.com.
