-- Jim Ross's latest article on Fox Sports's website is an interview with Bob Backlund. Backlund talked about his four-year WWWF Title run from 1978 to 1983, which he felt ended on a bad note due to a "lack of communication" about the direction of the promotion during the transition from Vince, Jr. to Vince, Jr.

Backlund also talked about his transition to an outspoken heel in the 1990s when he antagonized fans and Bret Hart. "I was intense because I believed every word that came out of my mouth," said Backlund. "It may have come out in a weird way but I was honestly trying to help society." -- Ross noted in his latest blog at jrsbarbq.com that he does not have any more "Ringside" one-man shows planned for the rest of the year. However, Rpss said he is "getting plenty of offers for 2016."

-- Ross said he would be open to calling the next "Wrestle Kingdom" Tokyo Dome broadcast, but he has not heard whether there will be a U.S. broadcast again in January 2016.

"Getting asked about me being a part of Wrestle Kingdom 10 in January and I have not heard a status report of the event as it relates to doing an English speaking PPV of it at this time. I'd love to be involved but that's not my call. I'd even enjoy doing English commentary on the NJPW big events throughout the year on their digital platform as well. I could do them at the events or in an audio facility in the States if necessary. Just an idea," Ross wrote.
