The IZW promotion is doing a month-long charity called the "Moore Recovery Month." The promotion says that 100 percent of the revenue collected, which includes ticket sales, merchandise, and concession sales, iPPV buys, etc. is being donated to the American Red Cross to aid victims of Moore, Oklahoma who were devastated by recent tornadoes.

This Saturday is IZW's fifth and final show of the month. Every wrestler is donating his pay to the Red Cross, capturing the significance of a cause that IZW has rallied around.

Here are a few quotes from people in the company who have been directly affected and witnessed first-hand what happened in Moore (including Aaron a/k/a The Bronze Bull).

IZW KICKS OFF MOORE RECOVERY MONTH ON JUNE 1

On May 20, a deadly tornado left a path of death and destruction in its wake through parts of Central Oklahoma. Worst hit was Moore, a suburb of Oklahoma City that left 24 people dead and destroyed a whole community. Oklahoma-based Impact Zone Wrestling (IZW) has decided to step up and help...

Wrestler Double D: “I was visiting here in Moore. I watched the tornado go by less than half-a-mile away from my family’s yard. I’ve never seen anything like it, in-person, in my entire life. You could see pieces of houses and debris flying everywhere. The first thing you think about are the people being hit. Hoping they’re okay, all the while knowing in your heart that with a destructive force of that magnitude there will be serious injuries and devastation. As soon as it was over, I immediately ran to check on some friends in the area. As I was helping them, there was a lady across the street crying hysterically. Her house was demolished but all she cared about was her dog and four cats. It didn’t look like there was much hope for survival, but I’m an animal lover so I had to help. We looked through the rubble, lifting sections of bricks, walls, doors, etc. I’m happy to say that after an hour or so of digging and lifting we found all four cats and the dog alive and well. Not a superhero, epic type of story, but I felt good about it and she was very thankful. She said it made everything she had coming up to deal with that much easier because she still had her pets. I’ve never been more proud to be a part of IZW. Stepping up and helping Moore, Oklahoma by donating ALL revenue in the month of June definitely shows class of the highest degree. We just want to do everything we can to help the people of Moore in these trying times.”

Johnny Z: “IZW always talks about making an impact, well here’s our chance and everyone else’s chance to make an impact. The damage done by this tornado was beyond belief and now all of us need to come together and try to return a little normalcy to all of those people’s lives.”

The Bronze Bull: “While helping out some friends that live in Moore, I couldn't help but compare the surreal atmosphere to a scene from a war movie. Huge piles of rubble everywhere, Humvees with soldiers patrolling the streets, the constant sound of helicopters hovering overhead. But, this wasn't a movie. This is the place where my friends and their families live. Those piles of rubble were people's houses, those soldiers were really there, and the sound of the helicopters served as a constant reminder that this was once a quiet neighborhood. I knew then that I had to do whatever I possibly could to help these people.”

Jermaine Johnson: “What happened in Moore caught me completely off guard. It truly makes you think about how petty our problems are sometimes when you hear about someone losing everything in a matter of minutes and I don’t even want to talk about the kids. My thoughts and prayers are with their families.”

Copycat: “Death and tragedy is something I don’t wish on anyone! I’m one of the worst men alive, but I have a heart!”

Erica: “I’m very proud to be a part of IZW’s Moore Recovery Month. We are giving families an opportunity to have fun during this time of tragedy while also aiding in the recovery of all those who were affected by the terrible tornado.”

IZW’s goal is to raise $10,000 for the month of June. For people looking to “Make an Impact” and help IZW with its charity work, you can reach them at moorerecoverymonth@izwrestling.com. To learn more about IZW, visit these locations...
