The following are additional articles on Randy Savage's death Friday.

-- ESPN, which covered Randy Savage's death on TV Friday, listed a news report on Savage in their Top News section on ESPN.com. The headline reads: "'Macho Man' Savage dies in car accident."

The headline links to the Associated Press's long-form report on Savage's death that has been circulated on virtually every national and local media outlet across the U.S. The report includes quotes from Dusty Rhodes talking himself up along with Savage, Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, and Ric Flair.

ESPN's coverage also includes a Page 2 blog on Savage's pro baseball career with quotes from former teammate Larry Herndon.

-- The St. Petersburg Times newspaper in Florida has more first-hand details on Savage's car crash and an eye-witness account from a local pastor who heard the crash Friday morning. (TampaBay.com)

The Wrangler jumped the median, crossed the eastbound lanes and rammed an oak tree in front of Bay Pines Evangelical Lutheran Church.

"I hear bam!" the pastor, the Rev. David Priebe, said. "It was a big, loud crash." By the time Priebe got to the Jeep, he could hear sirens and see that Savage "was in trouble." He started praying.

Rescue crews pried the doors open and took Savage to Largo Medical Center, where he died.

-- WWE Hall of Fame announcer Jim Ross published a lengthy blog dedicated to Randy Savage on jrsbarbq.com.

Ross's blog includes insight on the high points of Savage's career starting in the territories and continuing to WWF. Ross sums up his thoughts on his relationship with Savage:

"I was never close to Randy Savage, but I had immense respect for his in-ring work. Savage was a gifted high flier, had uncanny crowd psychology and a tough, athletic persona that could not be duplicated."

-- The New York Times's report includes quotes from "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase on working with Savage. (NYTimes.com) The Times report also focuses on Savage's trademark mannerisms and outfits that helped make him stand out, while taking a typical "skeptical outsider's view" of pro wrestling:

In a world in which enormous, half-naked men hurl their bodies at one another in front of thousands of people — complete with elaborate story lines, sequined costumes and theme music — Savage managed to stand out, perhaps because he spoke and dressed more loudly than most, or perhaps because he was equally successful playing a villain (known in the industry as a heel) and a good guy (a face).

-- Chris Yandek of CYInterview.com re-published a 2003 interview with Savage, who discussed tragic losses in pro wrestling shortly after the deaths of Curt Hennig and his long-time valet and wife, Miss Elizabeth.

It’s really, really, really sad because these are our friends. It’s a brotherhood. There’s always time out to pay tribute to a friend. That’s just the way we are...It’s a reality check. Everything is a reality check. Every second that goes by is a precious moment in time and we gotta take one day at a time. It’s just one of those things that we just keep reminding ourselves.

-- WWE has released a series of video clips from Savage's career in both WWE and WCW. The clips can be found at WWE's page on YouTube.com.

WWE also released a special tribute video compiled of Savage's memorable moments in pro wrestling at WWE>com.
